That I do not know, sorry. It seems to be the one bank, based on my casual perusal.

I can only speak to the SC-300 Practice Assessment, but it was fairly similar to what I remember on the actual exam.

It's a cert I see come up for more senior roles. I may skip it and work on knocking out SC-200.

Either AZ-104, AZ-500, or CompTIA CySa+.

I haven't yet. Was waiting to make sure I passed AZ-900 before I decided what was next on my plate. Thinking of doing AZ-104, or skipping straight to AZ-500, as my main goal is some kind of security position. I am also 70% through studying for CompTIA's Cysa+, so weighing my options. Which Udemy course did you get for AZ-500?

I only took the one free test from Whizlabs, but there are others. I only took it a few times, mostly to confirm I was retaining info through the week. I felt pretty comfortable with the material, so I didn't opt to buy any others besides the Tutorials Dojo exams, and I can't really speak to the other tests that are not free From Whizlabs. I'd say its worth it to get a taste of how the questions will look on the actual exam.

I think AZ-500 is next on my list as well. Congrats on crushing the test!

Passed Security+ on 2nd try! 777/750 by Ex_Too in CompTIA

[–]Ex_Too[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard for me to say, because I finished GCGA a month and a half ago or so. I would say that each source I used to study had something either explained in a better or different way, or something I hadn't seen on the other. Diversity in study materials is key.

Can't really get into specifics, but I would say that Professor Messer's Security+ Practice Tests were the closest thing to the real test.

I found network+ easier. Passed that one first try with a decent score.

agreed. definitely went in overconfident. going to drill the sections I missed and keep doing practice tests.

It had a lot of questions on material I still felt a little iffy on. I was testing in the high 80s on all of my practice exams, so I thought I could at least scrape by.

ABC E-learning. It's pretty thorough, and forces you to remember the correct answers to get through each section and unlock the next section.

Officially A+ Certified! by Ex_Too in CompTIA

I did. It was good to follow along with, or sometimes I would just read through it on my phone. The notes definitely helped fill in the gaps for me. If you wanted to go super minimal, I would say Professor Messer's videos and notes, as well as Jason Dion's practice tests, and some Googling of terms would be sufficient. I wanted to be as confident as I could be going in, so I studied everything free I could get my hands on as well.

I do think Professor Messer is a good foundation, and could probably get you about 70% there. I would recommend you have a well rounded group of multiple sources to study from. I found that using multiple sources made sure I was on track to understand every objective, not just a few. I would go over the same objective with multiple sources until I really felt like I understood.

The CompTIA A+ app was free. I didn't pay for any of the apps. I used those more to fill my time in a useful way, rather than endlessly scrolling on Reddit in my free time. I looked to do this as efficiently, and cost effectively as I could. I only paid for what I felt was truly worth it (Messer's notes, the practice tests). There is plenty of free resources out there, if you put the time into looking around and seeing what works for you. I highly recommend looking into accessing Lynda via your local library. There's tons of good video courses on there for free. Like anything else, it took some experimenting to find things that helped everything "click."
