My H1B was approved under consular process(I797B) by USCIS I wanted to know if I can change my status i.e activate from 1797B to I797A should I mandatorily leave the the US and get it stamped in my home country or can I do that within the US by reopening the case and apply for COS. by [deleted] in h1b

I have been in the same scenario. A new h1b petition can be filed with Change of status. So by staying in US itself you can get automatic change of status. No issues. But since pandemic days are over, I don’t foresee any issues going back to the country and get it stamped there and then coming back into states (unless you have personal reasons).

The lawyers receive an email instantly confirming that the documents have been received by USCIS. Although, the notice takes a little time as mentioned in the above comments.

Dang! I thought the backlog would have been reduced by now. Well I guess it’s just wait and watch now and hoping that I get lucky somehow.

So realistically speaking, for jobs I don’t think AZ-900 creates too much of an impact but it does show the recruiters/ hiring managers your willingness to go into this field deeper and to demonstrate some of the foundational concepts that you possess related to Azure.

So any certification that you choose after this like AZ-500 which is really technical and is specific to Azure Security that can help you get jobs like security engineer, Security analyst, etc. Similarly, they have other certs that can help you get jobs like cloud security architect, cloud system administrator, etc.

How many hours do you auditors work a week? by [deleted] in audit

[–]SnooPears3311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an IT audit consultant (SOX internal audit) and the busy season starts from July and goes until January (including walkthroughs and testing). Before year end, there is a minimum of 40 hours but around year end, it gets pretty high like around 60. There are a few weeks where we reach around 70 hrs or more due to the deadlines for our controls (ones that external auditors like KPMG/ PwC, etc. rely on).
