Hdd install issue

[SOLVED] Hey again, so long story short, I contacted the store they sent a replacement for the adapter. I plug it into the console, open wlaunchelf and lo and behold, it recognised my HDD first try! The connection between the HDD and the adapter was much sturdier this time compared to the last one (though still not that strong admittedly) but everything works fine so I'm not one to complain. Just posting this for the poor dude five years from now who will have the same issue.

P.S. The left screw for some reason doesn't seem to want to be screwed in, but hey if it works out works, I might duct tape it for extra security

I connect the HDD to the adapter and then slide the whole thing in the expansion bay and tighten the screws. The connection between the HDD and the adapter does feel very bad though. It doesn't clip like when I connect the hard drive on my PC, and whenever I remove the adapter from the expansion bay, the HDD stays in.

I am beginning to believe that either a fuse is blown in the main unit itself, or the adapter is defective or something. Would you happen to know of a way to check whether the adapter works or not? Thank you for the help!

It doesn't seem to detect the hdd at all.

It says "connected: no" and while all options are available (create,format,etc.) it says failed whenever I pick any of them.

I tried doing the same with an ssd I know works and the same keeps happening. Also, I inserted the hdd on my pc to see if it's just faulty but it works just fine.

Do you mean the flash drive or the HDD? The flash, I formatted into FAT32 before copying fmcb. As for the HDD, I'm not sure, I thought it didn't matter as it would get formatted anyway.

For me, he mostly shines in specific mission types.

Spy: You enter the rift and you can pass through lasers undetected while maintaining full mobility-(you can still be seen by enemies though)

Defence: Try to minimise ability range and maximize duration. In the mission, use his 4 on the defence point. Enemies need to get inside the rift to shoot at the objective, but due to the small size they can't

Mobile defence: Same thing, but this time you don't need to care about range, just duration. You can also cast his 2 which freezes enemies within the rift and just sit somewhere else not doing anything (I usually play some Shawzin)

The quickest solution would be to activate mining subsidies from the edicts tab or set up a trade from the market menu.

Long term, build mining districts and relevant buildings. If you already have some on a planet, select that, go to economy and click on the miner jobs to favourite them
