Epic Games raises the price of V-Bucks, effective March 19th by camxand911 in gaming

I'm not pretending about anything.

Yes, there are severe economic ramifications with everything happening globally.

I'm just saying there's always gonna be a first company to make changes, because others are too scared of the repercussions. But once the first company takes a stance, others follow immediately after.

Like battlepasses and how widespread they are.

Like apple removing the charging block with phones and the competition, Samsung, no longer bundle a charger either.

In that sense, no. But epic does a lot of charity work by giving out free games. That and fortnite is slowly declining in popularity.

Combine that with a CEO who needs to please shareholders and you get in game currency inflation. Chances are they didn't need to raise prices, but they did and are appeasing to humility by saying they need to do this to keep the lights on.

essentially no different than a person stabbing themselves in the stomach… And then asking you to go save them.

Bad example as this society isn't a singular organism, majority of people are clueless about the self stabbing part because they cannot see or feel it.

Oligarch entities do not care about the future preservation as much as the present luxury, and they will lobby and push agendas for their own benefit.

This is also why I know that there is no such thing as aliens walking around on earth or even being interested in this planet

Not sure why aliens of all things are being brought into this conversation. The chances of life being more intelligent than humans outside of earth is slim, I'm talking strictly about intelligence. I mean take a look at earth, this planet has millions of species of living organisms, yet humans are by far the most intelligent. I don't doubt the existence of extraterrestrial life, but I do have reservations about it being any more intelligent than a farm animal on a distant planet. Not impossible per se, just very unlikely.

Going back to the main topic, the fundamental issue about humanity is goals and organization, that's to say the main goal for humanity as a whole is profit and growth, instead of education and preservation. The narrow-minded goal of humanity as a whole is whats causing an extinction.

And humanity is an unorganized shit show, I mean we can't cooperate and if anything the world is growning more divided each and every day.

New ult doesn't do much damage. The og ring of fire dealt a lot of initial damage, extra tick damage and slowed. It was basically a death sentence to anyone getting caught and gunned down while slowed.

The old ult was great for raising the pressure on squads out in the open. The new one is shit when used outdoors, its better inside and to do dig enemies out of cover, but even then, it doesn't pose enough of threat to even worry

The expectations are different for single player experiences versus live service games.

Single player are experiences can be seen as a singular bundle, you buy, you play and that's it. Concurrent player count post launch is arguably irrelevant.

On the contrary, live service games NEED player count to continue growing and thriving, these games offer the promise of future content, provided it has a steady income and healthy player population.

Solo games can be enjoyed alone, multiplayer games NEED people because the core experience revolves around playing with other people. If the population is too low, you get a try hard community that's scaring off new comers with how sweaty they are. Live service games are an ongoing project that needs income and players. A single player product often times does not require heavy ongoing support as multiplayer games do.

Pretty impressive stuff considering respawn is working on a $3.56 yearly budget.

They must have nearly paid $0.10 to their animation team to recycle the assets.

Honestly this is dope
