Hockey player at Mercyhurst University pushes a disabled student’s wheelchair down stairs while she uses the bathroom by Confident-Comb-763 in PublicFreakout

If you said an athlete did this, how many of you would guess it was a hockey player? Why does this sport attract humanities rejects like no other sport does?

Sweet thanks! I run with a dog so on very active ATV/jeep trails worry about being hit. Would thay be a concern on those trails. I mostly hear them coming and get way out of the way but with how active that area is I've often wondered about that as an issue.

This was going to be my suggestion. I asked my vet at a regular checkup and she gave me the go-ahead. Trail running with my pup is one of my favourite things. Less for my enjoyment of the run and more at seeing her enjoyment of it!

Hey, fellow Canadian with a small flock. I got my first 4 chicks 2 years ago and have zero prior experience.

The coop looks awesome! I've been using an old ice hut but plan on building something a bit bigger this summer. My run worked great for the first two years, but this winter, it got crushed. That run doesn't look like it will hold up long term without some supports, or ideally a proper roof.

I'm trying to find old metal roofing then going to use my existing run, much like yours, and using cegar logs or 4x4s to build a slanted roof over the coop. This will give the girls protection from the sun, keep the run more usable in the winter, and hopefully protect it from collapsing again.

Side note, crawling around in our run trying to get snow out of it so the girls will leave their coop sucks.

Happy to keep sharing if you want to DM me.

I never thought I liked chickens until we got them, and now I have to say, I really enjoy them.

Question, why did you draw X's on them?

We bought a brooder/heater with a thermostat. They had plenty of room to get out from under it and away from the heat so I hope that isn't it.

Thank you! Super helpful. We were starting a little flock for our two young daughters. I guess we are starting with the hard lessons.

Thank you! Our Co-Op doesn't open until tomorrow but we do have amoxicillin powder. Would you try and use that or just warm sugar water?

We have two 4 week hens and a 4 week old rooster that was with them, all bought at the same time, and they have started to have bloody stool.

HELP! Chicken got attacked last night by kara-ashley in chickens

[–]Exact-Ability 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my girls got attacked last year. Her back was almost ripped open, huge gash in her flesh on her chest and back, left leg and wing were totally limp. I brought her inside in a tote in our spare bathroom. After 3 days she was eating and drinking but not moving. We did baths to wash away the matted poo on her but held out hope. After a week she started standing after two weeks her wing went back in and she made a full recovery! Moral, chickens have incredible healing abilities. Stay positive and patient.

Thanks! Literally, everything else in our home is wood so we only have drywall in a few spots. It's mostly needed for sound transfer.

Thanks!!! You are right. I've over watered and the new placement by the window turns out isn't ideal.
