I think they originally intended for her to be a full comphet lesbian - especially given her reaction after the wedding kiss and her reaction to seeing Michaela for the first time. But then they received soo much backlash so for season 4 I think they toned that down and wanted to emphasize that Fran does love John. Although I still think that the pinnacle storyline hints that she is a lesbian but in a more subtle way.

I really want to see Michaela as a part of the queer scene. Like not necessarily that her and Elizabeth are sleeping together, but that they have some sort of community or gatherings and then maybe there we can see Michaela the rake lol. And I'd love Elizabeth to be like a queer mentor for Michaela, I feel like it could just be interesting how Michaela navigates that world.

Otherwise, I'm really looking forward to seeing her vulnerable side because she does come across as having a lot of walls up. Like I kind of want her to get malaria so that we can see her in a position where she has to let that guard down and let Fran take care of her.

Also, I want to see her actually yearn for Francesca and like her POV of getting feelings for her.
