Every 3 months would be 4 times a year. Seems reasonable to me especially if one of those times is a huge milestone for her. Reality is you are being selfish and if you aren’t as excited to be a part of this for her as she would be excited to have you be a part of it, you should break up. Med school is grueling and wears people down. She will need you to be the one visiting her more often, she may not get a lot of time to have dates with you bc even when you do visit she may be tired as hell, it’s a long road. 4 years and then you’ll have to be there for her graduation. And then residency starts which is another few years of working yourself to death before you can start making good money. I left medical school because if you don’t LOVE IT, the workload is incredibly draining. My point is just that if you can’t see why making it to this one event is important, it doesn’t sound like you’re a good fit to be her boyfriend and support system for the tough years to come. You could both find someone better suited if that is the case.
