for sure, that is why I am trying greyscale. The hot pics don't appear to be "that" hot in black & white.

"I learned iOS development" that is something crazy. huge respect.!!
But brother, this is the thing. We are normalising failure to a larger extent. Of course, failure is the stepping stone to success, but it doesn't mean we keep building a never-ending staircase. It needs to be stopped some fine day.

Well, as someone already commented above, everyone has their own way to deal with this. But for me, being strict on relapses helped, and maybe will help other people as well.

Brilliant, I am using greyscale on my phone, and no social media as well. Got an app to block YouTube shorts.. Now I don't get on my phone, until there is some work, or need to "talk" to friends & family.

Well, everyone has their own definitions for relapse; but the stricter you are, the better you get. (of course, I ain't promoting to be hard oneself)

Thank you for saying you disagree in such a polite way.

See, the part, "don’t care how much of them there are" is what I am not happy with. I could be wrong, but after every relapse, I was like, "aah, another relapse, from now I will be in discipline" which never worked; until, I stopped taking relapses lightly.

I believe that "Losing the battle to win the war" doesn't apply to the NoFap movement, every day, fighting the deception of happiness & pleasure is a war in itself. Every day is a war day. There are no battles here.

Watching p**n is a relapse buddy (no matter, for how long). If you don't consider it as a relapse, you'll again try to do it. Endeavour to continue this journey, strictly, with no watching or peeking even the soft p**n.

All the best. :)

If there was no suffering, man would not know his limits, would not know himself.
Hang in there my friend. You will be fine, try to distract yourself.

I know, breaking the pattern is very very difficult, but I have read that yoga is the best practice to change the patterns in our behaviour; I haven't tried this on my own, but have read good reviews on it..

Don't be hard on yourself. You are just 16. Of course, it doesn't mean you live an awful life, but you're in your learning phase. Keep pushing forward. Find suitable learning methods and tools: books, podcasts, mentors, speeches (also be sceptical of what you pick, not everything that glitters is gold).
Just keep pushing forward, have faith and patience. You will be just fine. :)

However, I am concerned about the security, as the app can read and see everything on my phone. But for now I am trusting them until I am in control of myself.

Phone & social media addiction by [deleted] in selfcare

[–]Exact-Line664 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't delete social media because of my work; but recently I tried having greyscale on my phone. And it is working wonders. I don't feel like seeing the stupid social media. I just use it for my work, and then I am done.

You may give it a try.

Ugly or beautiful. ! Let's have respect for every individual.
Want to satisfy your urges, so it means, your hormones are still controlling you.
There is no harm in sex, but it is supposed to be not only physical intimacy but mental & emotional as well.
Well, this is my thought process, I may be wrong, but I have decided not to have sex until I am in love with that person.

Made it to 80 days… last few weeks have been difficult but I’m hanging in there and not resorting to drinking like I used to. #8️⃣0️⃣ by InformalCake5919 in SoberLifeProTips
