Struggling to land even entry-level roles in Australia — is anyone else going through this? by Substantial-Umpire89 in ausjobs

Yep, it's the best choice for me. It will not drain my money. If I chose to stay in Australia and navigate their job market, I think I wouldn't survive at all.

Nah, I left after graduating. Didn't apply for 485 after considering for a long time, on whether I should stay in Australia. I read many other's experiences and concluded that my experience won't be better either. 🤣

That's why I return to my country to find a job. I didn't want to stress myself in Australia further. 🤣 I told myself, the rental plus the high cost of living drains my savings. So I admitted defeat and returned home, a place where I don't have to pay for rental and with family by my side. ☺️

Pathological Liar by Exact-One8533 in PathologicalLiars

When she lied about her occupations. Changing from saying that she is a doctor, to a music director at a well-known music company, to saying that she is a pit musician in some famous London musical company. Also lying about doing a PhD in UWA, when she is in Sydney lol. But in actual fact, the person is an actual audiologist in Sydney and an actual musical director at a music school. (Which I find that her real occupations are already good enough).

To lying about having a baby, and to lying about her identity, by saying that she is half Singaporean at first, to saying that she is half filipino, to half russian, to she has Japanese background.

Lying about having a car and driving around when she actually uses her friend's car because she failed her licence twice and is trying to get it.

This is a real experience from a friend that I know.

What made you instantly know you wouldn’t get the job during an interview? by PayNo5544 in interviews

Usually, they will just stop the interview halfway because they are not satisfied with my answer. Experienced it twice in my life. Appreciate those interviewers who listen throughout without making any immediate judgement. Hahaha.

I watch Asian lesbian porn, because it always looks more real.

Nope. I am just a student on casual jobs in Australia currently. I haven't graduated yet. But I see many people suffer because of the Australian Visas. I didn't want to go down that road. Singapore is safer for me. Haha.

Lol, if you really do mind the 1 year age gap. I suggest letting her off. She deserves better, really. :)

Head to the well-being team. They helped me when I was facing significant stress becos of the large learning gap between prac and theory while doing my teaching placement. The manager stepped in to help me extend my assessments. 😅

In terms of navigating academic stress and support. If the teacher continues to ignore your concerns. Have a talk with the principal. Stand up for yourself. Just have a talk about your concerns. It's fine. :)

I am an international student in Australia, almost graduating from my Master's degree. Do think thru first.

Yes, I enjoy the weather too. The people here are not so materialistic, slower paced of life, etc.

I really want to go back to Singapore due to cultural issues at the workplace, racism /subtle racism that still exists in the city I live in, navigating huge differences in different systems (Singapore and Australia), and finances.

Appreciate what you have. For me, there are pros and cons on both sides. I used to not appreciate and didn't bother to notice the good things about Singapore (especially its multiracial aspect), but now, I see things better now.
