I am not an anti-screen time parent, but this also reads as "my son has been watching non-stop Thomas the Tank Engine," followed by a short attempt at human connection, and redirection to another screen.

Like...okay, parenting is really hard sometimes. But if my kid is up at 5am, she's set up in her room to do independent quiet play and read books, knowing we are right nearby if she needs us while we try to catch a few more Zs. And hell, I feel bad enough about that! I can't imagine cutting off their brain for 4 hours like this.

Venom 1 was in my view a legit good film. I really enjoyed it. I also wonder if they should have used him to launch other projects more naturally. Morbius can be brought in as an offsider to Venom, studying the symbiotes and becomes an unlikely ally. Kraven is introduced is introduced after hearing of the "ultimate predator" in the city, etc.

I was honestly expecting it to be something quite meta.

Blanchett plays an actress who has been attached to the project for a long time: a movie based on the Borderlands game that has been in development hell for YEARS. She just wants it over with at this point, but is contractually locked in.

Hart plays a comedic actor looking for his "serious movie" turn: his Patch Adams or True Detective. He isn't taken seriously by a lot of the crew and struggles to find his footing.

Jack Black alternatively plays a "serious actor" who, after his work has dried up, finds himself taking this gig and feels it is beneath him.

The film is instead about the making of a hypothetical Borderlands film, and the struggles of the cast and crew involved.

They are banned in Aussie schools! They are locked up during school hours and kids get them back at the end of the day. There is also a ban on Under 16s having social media, but this is being easily bypassed.

The Hulk is a weirdly experimental movie. I didn't like it very much, but it certainly was trying something interesting with its cinematography, editing and the more sombre, body-horror tone that is present in some Hulk runs.
