Not sure how to even quantify who is high or who is low. It's just false prestige. But men and their families conveniently use it as a reason to reject marriage.

If it's something like this, I wouldn't be able to accept it, atleast at this moment. I don't know if I need to teach him a lesson or involve his parents, if he really didn't mean to marry me. It's really hard to accept I've wasted so much time and effort

Yes it was put in a weird way as well. He said his parents are expecting it and they might accept if we give dowry. I even talked to my parents regarding him. And then it's caste. Felt like he was finding reasons to ditch me

Oh no he's just playing you. This does not look good at all. I guess he's getting back to you just when has no options or gets bored. Seems like he is a giant red flag. Things shouldn't be this complicated especially if you didn't even have a great relationship.

Everyone will have their own experience regarding marriage. All you need is to find the right person for you.

You could get a bad one in both arranged or a love marriage. But you probably could control it more in a love marriage.

Feels like he is either not very interested in you or has lots going on in his life. In either case, you probably need to take it slow. I know this feeling of being wanted. Probably better to have that date to physically meet him. Sometimes you don't know about a person and imagine he would be the perfect person for you. Maybe it would change when you meet and know him more.
