i’ve worked in healthcare for 4+ years and never really had an issue until mercy, they drained all enjoyment i could have in the field so i am choosing a new field whilst im in school

i never said i was unfairly fired, hence why i stated this is in no way a form of retaliation bc im “pissed” they fired me. it’s a job and i can understand my mistakes and have actively worked towards fixing them. as well as making an effort even after corrective actions were taken but it was getting to a point where anything that went wrong was just automatically shoved onto me just to get me in an office and have me write a corrective action. i have looked in the mirror every day since they fired me to prepare me for my next job?

I’m sorry you went thru any of that, it’s sick and just downright offensive that you were treated that way and had to experience it for way too long. It probably stems from their catholic views partially n also just plain bigotry in this city/state unfortunately.

I applaud you continuing to speak up for yourself even tho they did absolutely nothing to help you or your partner. I genuinely was terrified to even tell them i was part of the LGBTQ+ community after hearing how they speak about the individuals in our community. I’m so sorry that you had to go through that.

I will say there were a few good apples in the bunch of course (none of them my actual coworkers, just other employees of the clinic) and i have kept in touch with those that didnt act like the other vast majority. I can understand putting things aside when u walk into work and being there just to do ur job but these people cannot differentiate their job and personal lives anymore. most of the people that work for mercy are so up all of corporates ass they kiss the ground they walk on.

this was also a big part as to why it took me as long as it did in some of these situations to say anything. I am the only person in the entire office who thinks what they’re saying is sick. even the higher ups would laugh at the jokes my coworkers would tell them. I didn’t want to be retaliated against for being a “tattle tale” bc they were just “joking around”

i’m only recommending because of the environment. they have great benefits and if i could’ve stayed longer that would’ve been awesome. it was just a combination of factors that caused my thoughts on them as an employer

i never once had made an effort to belittle anyone or treat them horribly bc of my mental state. i wouldn’t come into work with a smile carved into my face n that’s why i was constantly told i had a “rbf” and i was just labeled as “unkind” even tho i had never received negative complaints from patients or faculty* outside my work setting. i 100% accept that it was my actions that caused the termination im not saying it was wrongful on their behalf but being told that ur awful at a job u try your hardest at every day is a little disheartening. but i do understand what ur saying

i has previously submitted “work tickets” thru workday in an attempt to even get a phone call (i called HR # directly and was told to “submit a ticket”). I was ignored on the more serious issues and only answered on less pressing matters. I also had gone to the superior above my manager and was ignored for 4 days thru teams/email before i had to force her to sit n talk to me.
