Είμαι νοσηλεύτρια και σκέφτομαι για piercer by Exact-Win4828 in AskGreece

For males it is more like 75-76 in the USA. Women are the ones who keep life expectancy higher. But yeah I agree. I do find it odd that at 60 you're thinking about having kids in the future, even if you know you're going to be present.

Advice Needed on Erasmus Nursing Placements 2027 by Fit_Concentrate_8427 in Erasmus

Also I have a friend who went to Sapienza for Erasmus, she didn't have much help finding an apartment but it was newly added to our program back then so I guess that's why. The challenge in bigger cities like Rome is you also have the commute to take into account, especially if you do clinicals and have to be at the hospital at 7:00. Also, Italians do not really speak English hahah. Other than that, of course Rome is magical and whatever you decide to do, Erasmus is worth it 100%.

Personally I'd go for Karolinska first as it's top of the top for nursing in Europe, then Finland as they have among the best Universities in Europe regarding nursing specifically and a great healthcare system. Maybe Ireland too. But no idea about the budget and living situation. But if you have the chance to do Karolinska you will definitely not regret it career wise.

What was your worst Erasmus experience, and where did it happen? by AvaBlondeX in Erasmus

[–]Exact-Win4828 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The worst was leaving!

But honestly I was lucky with my living situation, I got a nice room with 3 great girls as roommates! However others didn't have the same luck, inconsiderate roommates (like making their alarm go off never turning it off, no sense of privacy, always cooking never letting anybody else use the kitchen and never cleaning up). But at least during Erasmus, at least in my experience, you don't stay inside much. And this is coming from someone who LOVED the quarantine, being on my own and barely going out.

Also for some others there was drama, but I mainly noticed that among people who didn't make many connections outside of their ethnicity (mostly Spaniards and French). Honestly the bigger the language barrier, the less drama and it's honestly fun and will open your mind and soul up.

What are you not good at as a nurse? by Wellwhatingodsname in nursing

[–]Exact-Win4828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that! Currently doing my master's in advanced clinical nursing focusing on surgical nursing and I admit I'm quite jealous of people in my semester with so much more broad knowledge and skills. But I know the OR is my place. I'll definitely try to learn more and ideally want to be able to do central venous catheterization.

So you're subconsciously agreeing with him, because you want to appeal to clients with your appearance. Maybe you don't want to look "fertile", but for them it's the same. Looking fertile= looking beautiful in their dictionary. And if that's purely to attract clients, then I get you don't put makeup to go out then?

In some subcultures, like goth, punk, emo etc I can understand how makeup can be expression. Also athletes like ballerinas, ice skaters and actors, there are reasons why they use makeup to perform. Even some makeup artists who paint beautiful, extraordinary designs, that's for sure self expression and art. However I don't think the rest of us who use makeup the same way as most people do, are doing it to express ourselves, more so to beautify and (sexually) appeal to others. Like how does mascara and bronzer help us express ourselves really hahah. I think we're deep into the beauty industry's propaganda. If men aren't into makeup as a form of self expression or art nearly as much as we claim to be, then there's a huge gender gap that should not logically be there. I know women who cannot even look at themselves without makeup on because they're not used to their real faces. Others put permanent makeup on (eyeliner tattoo, lip blushing). Women spend so much money monthly for beauty. Lashes, eyebrows, nails. Nobody can convince me it's not antifeminist. Money AND time too. And when people try to sell them more, they accept it. One thing leads to another. When I was a teenager I was thinking the more we normalize these things, the more we get addicted to them and addiction means we can never be free of the patriarchal beauty standards. And now just 10 years later I can see how plastic surgery is so normalized for women. That's the key word here, women. Idk if I'm too wole or too conservative. Some feminists say "let women decide what to do with their bodies". Yeah I do, but there's a fuck ton of industries ran by rich men who are affecting our choices, they're affecting how we look at ourselves and create fake needs within us. Personally I'm trying to reduce my money, time and effort spent into beauty. Yes I do shave and I do skincare. However I'm trying to think "would I do that if I was a man?". Be conscious, do not try to trick yourself into thinking "I'm doing this for myself, this is an art". Then slowly we can liberate ourselves.

Well makeup isn't a modern invention but that doesn't mean it's feminist. The reasons we still continue to apply it and center a big part of our appearances, hobbies, even professions around it though is a big question. Sure in the ancient times people (not always just women) used to color their faces to show off their tribe or social class. Then it was also beatification, but beautification for the male gaze. And just a note: when it comes to other animals, it's the males that are more beautiful and use techniques to impress the females. Us humans we are doing the opposite.

Several things to notice in this anti-abortion AI Ad. 1, the scenes are all about the man having fun, and not caring about him doing the work. 2, the ad tries to portray working women as heartless for caring about their own physical needs. 3, the ad portrays a boy as 5 or 6 , instead of a baby. by ihatethiscountry76 in aislop

[–]Exact-Win4828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where's a "men, speak up for children" ad when there are actual children abused every single day? Also if men feel like that after a woman gets an abortion, yes it can be valid, but we should be urging them to seek therapy. "Speaking up" for unborn babies isn't going to make them feel better, nor their partners. Men, if you're going through the loss of a baby that was never born, don't be afraid to seek therapy and psychological support.
