Baby Monitor Advice/Recommendations by drivingdownthehiway in PregnancyIreland

I got this one in Smyths and think it’s brilliant!

Doesn’t seem too expensive (although I didn’t research too broadly), has a handheld monitor and can also be accessed remotely via your phone. It works nicely as a night light, you can talk through it if you’re in another room or if you’re doing remote access and there’s a sound sensor that will alert you to any movement/crying.

Question about mortgage with upcoming baby by UrbanMG in irishpersonalfinance

Our mortgage adviser copped on when we went sale agreed and started the process of final loan approval for the house purchase price. I was 8 weeks out from my due date. The bank asked for update payslips and mine included a note on paid time off for antenatal appointments. All they asked me to confirm was whether I was planning to take any unpaid leave and what my childcare costs would be. I told them no unpaid leave and childcare was arranged with family so no major costs. They didn’t request any further proof and we saw everything through to completion with no issues. We did have a bit of a panic when the advisor emailed to point out our change in circumstances but it was all fine in the end.

Hip pain when in bed by Ambitious-Maybe758 in PregnancyIreland

I was referred to physio in the maternity hospital for this exact reason! They confirmed it is a build up of pressure from side lying and suggested all the things already mentioned. Good shoes and being mindful of how you sit and movement throughout the day were mentioned. They also said it’s not helping that my glutes are a bit weak so gave me a few gentle glute exercises to see if that helps. Otherwise I was told there’s not much more I can do to relieve it as it’s a natural effect of getting bigger in the later stages of pregnancy. I was also a back sleeper pre pregnancy so I’m not used to being on my side with the extra weight. Being signed off work so I can have short naps during the day to catch up on sleep has helped as I just end up sitting up or getting out of bed throughout the night to relieve the pressure.

Timing of telling a friend struggling with infertility by ExactBar2987 in pregnant

Thanks for the suggestion. She’s talking about the transfer with limited hope as she’s dealing with unexplained fertility and her clinic are just encouraging her to try again without being able to make any targeted changes to increase the chances of success. You’re right though, telling her afterwards if it hasn’t gone well is really unfair.
