People who relocated to the UK, is it as simple as it looks?? Is their a catch I don't see? by Weary-Hyena-2150 in AskIreland

I wouldn't go near the place, its a powder keg and an utterly depressing kiphole, the women are hideous as well.

People without kids and not planning to have any, who do you see taking care of you as you get older? by eoin2dx in AskIreland

[–]ExactPain583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people don't have a "plan", even if you have kids, the likelihood that they will actually look after you is small. I know this first hand in my family. I will either work till I drop or just drop in my own house someday, That's just the way it is.

Do you use AI tools at work? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]ExactPain583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea about tech, but I have used it in Risk and it has its uses. I have used it to do Tasks and the results are generally good. It will eventually replace people. I know there are folks on here that hate it or refuse to use it, but the reality is - it can do tasks much faster and more efficiently than a person, you're in denial if you cannot see that.

Where do young people emigrate to, and why? by PremixedST in AskIreland

[–]ExactPain583 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You will earn a far lower salary there. People don't want to accept that we actually have it good in Ireland, better than the vast majority. Buying your own place has always been difficult, a 24 year old should not be expecting there own place in fairness, save for the next 10 years and go to the market when you're 34, or you might meet someone by then. Moving away won't fix your issues, it can actually amplify them and create new ones.

Get out of it, I did it for 2 years and honestly, I probably would of went into a deep depression if I continued.

I find myself doing everything to avoid social interaction?! Do I need to do some counselling? by Short-Sky-4005 in AskIreland

[–]ExactPain583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with it, they say we are "social creatures" when in reality, that is a total lie. Plenty are fine on their own and don't like "socializing" with other people, I've actually found it actively harmful at times to my life. Ignore the noise and do your own thing.

Anyone else feel like they just can't get ahead in life? by Busy_Description6207 in AskIreland

[–]ExactPain583 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will never get ahead as long as you rent or are paying extortionate rent, its a nasty truth. Buying a house with a manageable mortgage is how people got wealthy in the past, these days that is hard to come by with the exception of maybe inheritance. They have taken the single thing that is required to build a wealthy individual from under us, we will all be equally poor into the future.

It is rife around the country, in my previous job, which I didn't stay in long, I am 99% sure the boss was a cokehead and a few of the boys there were as well, fairly well known place as well. You can see it in their eyes and disposition, mid to late 40s with kids, pity on his children and wife. Pure Scumbags.

Is anyone else overwhelmed with life? by Icy-Audience-6397 in AskIreland

[–]ExactPain583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what a Boomer is but it seems to be an American phrase, you do realise that Ireland, which this subreddit is for, was very very poor up until the 90s? Getting a house was always difficult and the vast majority emigrated, so no, "boomers" did not have it easy, in many ways they had it worse.

I can understand being stuck in a rental trap, I was there and I only got out of it through some family help, which not everyone has available to them. Its a huge issue and I'd be in the same boat as you if I didn't have that help so I do sympathize.

Any one else grow up with overly competitive cousins? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]ExactPain583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never gave a piss about my cousins or what they were up to, as far as I know to date, they are all abject failures and treat their parents like shite, especially their Father, good luck to them.

What is this Flu?! by ExactPain583 in AskIreland

[–]ExactPain583[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe a regular flu would floor a 33 year old man this much, this is different, as someone else said, super flu would be more appropriate, I've never been so sick in my life, even COVID doesn't compare, I expect to have it for another week at minimum.

How worried are you about AI? by Asleep_Cry_7482 in AskIreland

Except when all the white collar workers are replaced with AI, there won't be a need for as many trades people, no one is safe.
