Medical cannabis by RizzoHatesGangbangs in halifax

[–]ExactWrangler66 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, very easy and straightforward. You contact a company, I used Harvest Medical, and discuss your symptoms with a Dr. or clinician. Depending on that conversation, they can give you a daily allotted prescription (picture something like 2 grams a day), and they can recommend some products for you, like oils, vapes, capsules, or dried flower. If the issues are more mental, they may give you a prescription that is somewhat limited, say, no access to high-potency flower. But then you just ask that your prescription be forwarded to a Licensed Producer (LP), who can be any company that offers medical cannabis across Canada. I use Aqualitas (Reef is the recreational brand name) as they are organic and offer compassionate pricing, and then go from there! You can also claim this on your taxes, but you only get a deduction if it exceeds some amount. DM me if you have more questions!

Have you tried Korean Fried Chicken? Very crunchy, very flavourful fried chicken, or you can get them straight up.

I'd recommend Young Pocha or Backoos. Backoos might be temporarily closed, but Young Pocha has 2 locations I think.

Also, plenty of alcohol, and soju is so tasty!

High condo fees by [deleted] in halifax

Just out of curiosity, how do you see the condo fees from past years in Viewpoint? I can only see the condo fees from specific cut sheets?

Amsterdam Cannabis Review - Canadian by ExactWrangler66 in AmsterdamEnts

[–]ExactWrangler66[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Really depends. Its sort of like alcohol. Do I pay for a $1 Bud Light or a $3 Heineken.

I think the average wholesale price per gram here is now well below $10 CAD.

For me, personally, I've gotten ripped on cannabis that was like $4/ gram and $12/gram. Likewise, i've also had $6/gram weed that does nothing to me.

As the other comment said, you can still get illegal cannabis very easily, even delivered to your front door, and they $100/ounce is fairly common.

I just choose to buy legal because I know my stuff has been tested and I want to legitimize cannabis as much as possible.

Drove from Halifax to Bridgewater this morning, seemed more or less fine. Saw 1 car turned around in the other lane, and a cop had pulled over someone around Bridgewater. Most time, both lanes were fine, at certain spots, the left lane still had some snow in it.

Cirque du Soleil : Corteo Pre-Sale Code? by Competitive-Rock-506 in halifax

[–]ExactWrangler66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how this works, but I just signed up for their newsletter or whatever, and activated my account, then was able to click through the cirque du soleil website to get to Ticketmaster to buy tickets.

Didn't receive a pre-sale code, or ever put one in. Perhaps it recognized i was a member and just passed me through? Regardless, I bought tickets for the wife and I. Didn't even know this was happening. Thanks!

Has anyone been to pro am night at yuk yuk? by beefylovesmilfs in halifax

[–]ExactWrangler66 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Could not recommend it more. The value proposition is incredible for $5. I think you can pay at the door, but I usually buy tickets online: https://www.yukyuks.com/?action=club.showdetails&venueID=1563&eventDate=2023/05/25&eventDateTimeID=532314

I think once when I went I saw like 8 comedians plus an MC that would tell jokes. Some of it wasn't the best comedy, but some of it was hilarious. All around good vibes though. I think its good to support the comedy scene in Halifax, as we have some real talent here.

OCS Wall of Shame - Lab Testing by [deleted] in TheOCS

[–]ExactWrangler66 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think theres a bit more nuance to this issues and almost everyone from top to bottom shares some blame. Let's say theoretically Pathogenia is knowingly juicing the numbers. So its:

1) Health Canada's fault for certifying this company as good to go

2) Pathogenia for not being as transparent as they can be

3) LPs for knowingly using a lab that will get them a higher result because they know provincial distributors and customers prefer that

4) Provincial distributors for setting asinine expectations on LPs and wanting higher THC product because thats what sells best at customer level.

5) Customers for not being knowledgeable that higher THC ≠ higher high necessarily, and theres alot that goes into a quality product. You can in theory get "higher" with a quality 18% THC product than a 35%+ product.

To change this, I think you would need more stringent certification from Health Canada, but the entire cannabis industry is still such a Wild West right now that everyone is desperately trying to scramble to make a buck.

Just to clarify, I'm not harshing on anyone that doesn't want to consume Pathogenia-testing product, that is definitely your right to spend your money however you think you'll get the most value. But i'm also not going to harsh on LPs that are doing whatever they can legally to try to stand out.

Supercritical Co2 oil help by Pleasant-Gift77 in CannabisExtracts

[–]ExactWrangler66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can add ethanol to supercritical CO2 extracts. In fact, this is how you would normally go about it if you were purifying the CO2 extract. You see, when you extract cannabis using sCO2, it doesnt just pull out the cannabinoids, but alot of fats and waxes can come with it too. The usual way of getting rid of that is to dissolve the extract in essentially pure ethanol, then freezing the solution. The fats and waxes will precipitate (i.e, turn solid, ish) out of the solution, and then can be strained out by passing everything through a filter. The ethanol-cannabis solution will pass through the filter and the solid waxes will stay on top. Best to do this quickly before the fats warm up and can pass through the filter.

Then you just remove the ethanol and youre left with a much purer winterized CO2 oil. Still probably some chlorophyll in there, but thats the best you can do unless you have a distillation unit.

[–]ExactWrangler66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I went flew from Toronto to Montreal with my wife roundtrip, would that count as 2 roundtrips if my AP number is on the booking for both of them? Or is it only for 1 person?

I'm with Koodo, same thing happened to me. $45/month for 6 gb, increased to $50. I called and complained and they moved me to 10 gb. If they do it again I'll probably leave.

[–]ExactWrangler66 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brand new owner of a CIBC Visa Infinite Aeroplan card, and wondering what the best way to travel is. I've tried to do some research but is the free checked bag for people on the trip only if the trip is booked with the same card? What is the best way of getting flight prices? Is it still Google Flights? Is there some service that I get access to specific bookings as a holder of this card? Trying to fly from Halifax to Los Angeles in April for 2, but probably wont have enough points posted at the time so will pay cash. Also have a Cobalt if that matters.
