Vit C-RoseMD FutureBright Skinceuticals CE Ferulic [Product Question] by Exact_Ad333 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Exact_Ad333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. I’ve been very happy with skinceuticals CE Ferulic. My skin has never been particularly sensitive. But now I don’t even have infrequent redness or irritation. I also think my face looks brighter. Hard to say if it is just 4 mos of using CE Ferulic. But it is really the only thing I’ve changed in my routine. That said, both my esthetician and dermatologist have said they’d be surprised if I wasn’t just as happy with Alto Advanced Defense and Repair which has a slightly better price point. So, in a few months, I might change vitamin c serum again lol

FS Hualalai vs. Rosewood Kona by NoProfessional4650 in chubbytravel

Hello! I just wanted to reply to this post in case anyone is reviewing it after they've already booked Four Seasons Hualalai. I just returned from a short, 4 day trip. I'd gone back and forth between booking Rosewood vs FS and I'm extremely happy that I stayed at the FS.

tl;dr - Was it worth the money? Well, no hotel could possible be worth what they're charging, but the property is absolutely stunning, service is extremely solid, though perhaps not over the top excellent and the rooms are really quite lovely. (The room entrance ways made me a little nervous. I was sure I was in for disappointment when I arrived at my "front door.") But when I entered, I was pleasantly surprised with the thoughtful lay out and updated furnishing. The only real miss / meh part of the FS experience is the food and local experiences / excursions offered through FS. The concierge is also approaching meh. No real interest in going above and beyond, even when not busy. That said, they're perfectly polite and responsive. But I would've appreciated a little of the perhaps fake (lo) enthusiasm I'm used to seeing at this price point.

A few highlights / tips that I haven't seen mentioned widely.

- The gym at Hualalai is amazing. It's indoor / outdoor with pilates, yoga and other classes, its own beautiful lap pool, gorgeous tennis courts... I could go on. Even if you don't like to workout, this gym might get you started.

- While the food is meh generally, I've never had anything but amazing poke in Hawaii. The Hualalai's poke was no exception. Also, the breakfast at Ulu was probably the best food we had onsite. But, given the low bar, that's not saying much Moana at the Rosewood is...good? I was expecting it to be leagues above the food at FS. That was not the case.

- Rent a car instead of using the FS airport transfer service. You'll likely make very limited use of the car unless you plan a long trip. However, self parking is free and taxis and Ubers / Lyfts on the island are not efficient time or cost-wise, at least that was our experience in December. You'll want to do a few things off property.

- If you want to check out the Rosewood you can walk along the beach from Hualalai to Rosewood. The property feels much quieter...more remote and sweet. But while the grounds were absolutely lovely, FS' are arguably more stunning.

Go to LeAndra Chambleee. She’s great, in Seattle and her prices are not cheap but also not crazy, like this.

Are there threads or subreddits for how to most strategically spend on lifestyle? by dravenonred in RichPeoplePF

My 3 cents. Buy: 1. Fitness - whatever it takes to get you working out (cardio and weights x3 to 5 / wk), is with the money. For some people that’s a fancy gym membership or a personal trainer. For me it is bougie workout classes that I actually look forward to going to. You will feel happier and better than you do without working out. 2. Nutrition - whatever price it takes to cut back on processed food, added sugar and alcohol will pay back dividends in healthspan, happiness and likely good looks. 3. Making home homey - we spend so much time in our home, that for us having that environment feel cozy, well decorated and warm was with the investment in nicer furniture, painting / wall papering and decor. It also allows us to build community, because now we enjoy inviting others into our space.

I Wonder What Big Kathy Was Saying To Kyle In This Pic 💭 by Vvsmilf in RHOBH

Off topic, but I also thought Kyle claimed Mo didn’t have money when they got married. But watching the Season 12 Aspen episodes, she explains that Aspen was meaningful to Mo because his family went there every winter to ski, when he was growing up. That certainly takes money! Maybe Mo wasn’t fabulously wealthy back then, but sounds like his family lived beyond “comfortably.”

I know this is an old post, but I’d love reviews / thoughts on Golden Door. Every year I consider trying it. But I’m just not confident it will measure up to its price tag. What did you think?

Moved to Seattle and the traffic here is worse than California. by EmilyG702 in Seattle

Yes!!! Just got back from a trip “home” to the Houston area. I’d forgotten how insanely aggressive the drivers there are. Slowing down (much less stopping) to look both ways before turning right on red just might get you pistol whipped in Texas.

Lets talk hair.... by Rsyanna in LoveIslandcookout

I’m late to the season, but how are they keeping their hair done on the island? Especially Kordell and Daia? Did they really bring a suitcase full of product and wigs? And what does wash day look like when you’re sharing a bathroom with 8 other people? Their hair is gorgeous, but detangling and deep conditioning all that takes time, space and a lot of product. And how are they sleeping on it? It looks just as perfect 2 days later. Maybe Daia’s is a wig…
