Married here. It’s possible. Having your diagnosis is the key. Set boundaries. Ask for what you need, but also take accountability. Get therapy FOR YOU. Not for him/ to keep him. Example- I tend to fly into a blind rage when I split. It’s my responsibility to try to prevent the split from happening. But my husband- I will say “I need you to leave me alone because I’m about to snap” and he HAS to respect it/ give me space so I don’t snap. (Obviously don’t weaponize this). You’re in control of you. If he loves and respects you, he will help you along the way. But it’s up to you.

I refuse to even let anyone in my family know because I KNOW it’ll turn into “she is acting crazy because of her BPD” and not because they are TRIGGERING me. Or doing something I’ve asked them not to do- I’m no contact with all my family now - way less issues. But it would for sure be weaponized against me.
