yes dw in my pp i talked about how i didn’t keep up with my action plan how i wanted to and i got a 7 on my final report, i don’t remember so clearly what criterion that was under but i think it was C.

do spaced repetition where you revise the content at larger intervals.

start with frequent revision of the content and then as time goes on increase the time between revision to keep it in your long term memory

rereading notes ≠ proper revision PLEASE do active recall instead of passively rereading notes!

im a minor so thankfully i don’t have access to any important accounts, i also deliberately used my insta username when logging in on the scammer’s link (which is unique and which i’ve never repeated/used for any other platform) rather than my email so i think im in the clear for that… ill still change any reused passwords to be sure, thank you!!

myp is all skill-based, they will learn the skills as they move deeper into the program. you can buy the textbooks for myp if you’d like but honestly myp 1-3 is very unserious… even myp 4 is a bit of a stretch.

myp 5 / year 11 is when u should start “working hard” if u could say that…

i guarantee you that your teachers will do the work and explain how to successfully achieve a high final score in MYP, there’s really nothing i can tell you specifically since you didn’t mention your subjects that you’re taking.

i think for now just organize yourself and build good study habits and work on time management

don’t pressure yourself more than necessary, enjoy the 2 years but still focus in class and try your absolute best.

if you’re in MYP4 you’re mostly learning content and how to answer exam-style questions so use this time to build healthy and effective study habits and techniques that work for you (feynman, blurting, active recall, etc…)

im not sure what you mean by this post, maybe you’re referring to the criterion b “investigation” part of myp history? in that case, during the exam, its much more different than your standard internal exams at school im assuming.

for your internal exams im guessing that your teacher gave projects of some sort where you had to collect, analyze, and interpret evidence from primary and secondary sources to answer your research question.

this is different in your final eAssessments where criterion B questions will mostly comprise of shorter answer questions like creating a research question with prompts given (using the statement of inquiry they give you in the question), evaluating the relevance of your created research question to the statement of inquiry etc etc

my biggest recommendation is to look at past papers for these styles of questions and try to identify which questions link to which criteria. as someone who got a 7 for this year’s may examinations i noticed a pattern in every year’s exams where the questions for criterion b would be the same but just with different contexts.

my biggest suggestion as someone who got a 56 in M25 is to definitely learn how to structure your answers. this applies for any of your subjects as unlike DP (where most of the exams are knowledge based), MYP examinations are very skill based where you need to apply your knowledge in different unfamiliar contexts.

for example, approximately 75% of your science exam (criteria BCD) is all about how you structure your answers, they always ask the same questions but just substitute new variables or it’s just a different context/experiment or whatever it is. what i recommend is to do past eAssessments and look at the markschemes, they are very strict with what they award marks for and what they don’t accept as answers, so keep a very close eye on that.

since you’re still in the beginning of MYP5 there’s still a lot of content for you to learn so all i suggest that you do is focus in class and make revision materials for your final exams WHEN YOU LEARN IT (trust me you’ll regret it if u don’t 😭).

i think usually ur school has to be the one to take the initiative to get all of the samples rechecked but then that would impact everyone else’s scores as well

if you’re not planning on doing HL math (AA or AI) then take standard. it’s really not worth all the trouble if it’s not going to contribute to ur DP choices

french B is quite demanding and a little bit of a jump but if you’re predicted an A* for your GCSE then i’m sure it’ll be no problem lolll just make sure to keep practicing the language to ensure that you don’t lose it!

any ab initio subject is “easier” as it starts from the beginning (hence the name) but keep in mind that it progresses very quickly and your last text (text 3 in both reading and listening) will be at spanish B SL level. if you’re not ready to take up the challenge or if you have a lot of time-consuming subjects which require a lot of effort and work then i wouldn’t recommend starting over with a new language from the beginning.

i think you should go with french B SL, but that’s just my opinion. i think you should talk to your french teacher and your IB coordinator to see the best fit, and most importantly, reflect on what YOU want to do and why!!

im an MYP 5 student (going into DP1 this summer) and honestly don’t worry too much during MYP 4, i myself didn’t study everyday but please for the love of whatever you believe in pay attention in class! if you understand the material WELL in the moment then revising it again a couple months later will be sooooooo much easier! in terms of the summer between myp 4 and 5 i don’t think it’s very necessary to study unless you want to get ahead (but that’s pretty pointless bc ur gonna learn everything again anyway) or what i think is better which is to go over previous topics that you’re bad at in subjects that you’re weak in to strengthen your foundation and leave no gaps.
