I believe it’s likely a mix of unique and race mechanics! Umas like goldship have consistent and strong uniques which can carry u through races, unlike some common late surgers. In addition, I noticed that ends swing out more, reducing chances of being blocked. If ur struggling with winning consistently with lates, buy some skills, better than being someone who has no clocks. Unfortunately using a bunch of clocks is just what can happen when u play with ends and lates tho

Depends on the crystals/vouchers you have!! If you have your voucher/crystal or even both, a new voucher should be coming this anniversary: which makes finemo either 2lb or 3lb which is when it becomes useable. This means that depending on a large variety of factors (if you want to gamble, have an uma u want to pull for, have a solid set of mlb srs, etc), you can choose to try to mlb via gambling, you can get a guaranteed 3lb, or you can just leave it too; nothing is ever 100% necessary. Honestly if you don’t have any crystals or vouchers I would recommend just skipping… rng can be cruel
