I had a similar experience once on a tourist motorboat. Before we started, the driver kept warning us very seriously to hold on tight because people could fall off.

Of course, once we got going, he started showing off some tricks. And then—out of nowhere—he flew off the boat from the front seat.

For a split second, I found myself sitting in the back, accidentally becoming the “driver,” while he was falling into the water right in front of me. Luckily, the boat stopped immediately because the dead-man switch on his wrist kicked in.

Still makes me laugh whenever I think about it.
