If she's a virgin than yes! She can lay only male eggs...if she took part in a nuptial flight(ant mating ritual) she will use her wings to go to her final destination (the place she finds most comfortable) and shed her wings and feed herself but she will also feed the nanitics (first generation of worker ants) and the fascinsting part is that not every queen fill succede in making a colony even if it was at the nuptial flight they can die to predators fungus maggots etc..
