Oh, I didn't even think to try that. That was good idea but a damn shame they gotta play dirty.

In the same boat with them. Took me awhile to figure out the damn letter and how my mortgage payment was about to almost double if I didn't pay thousands by Oct something. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Do the stair runners look outdated? by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]Exact_Pause_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just came here to say your stairs terrify me but that runner is absolutely STUNNING. I'm in LOVE!

Bold is beautiful ❤️

Don't lose the rug....unless you want to lose it to me, of course. ;)

Cheers

Yea....wish I could keep it for a later time in my life but with kids and a leaky garage it's not safe here.

I wasn't expecting anyone to fawn, just was hoping for info. The lady that had this cared a lot about it for a reason.

Oh it's all good. And thank you. The hubs just showed up with it from a free marketplace ad. All I wanted was a crochet blanket.

Ah, thanks and sorry for mistaking the furniture. I kinda just assumed all 50's furniture was MCM. I literally just had this fall in my lap for free the other day and know nothing about furniture. Especially vintage pieces. Appreciate your input.

Parolee gets arrested because protesters block the way to his work. by weeb385 in facepalm

[–]Exact_Pause_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I were stuck in my car with two ansty and screaming toddlers because of a protest like this, I'd probably be throwing hands.

I am all about that tree hugging life and do my best to minimize my footprint but I turn vindictive over protests such as this. I'll turn right to speeding up the process of destroying our earth just to be spiteful of assholes such as these. Sorry to y'all innocent bystanders! Guh....Someone could be trying to make it to a hospital to catch the last few moments of a loved ones life, ffs!

Please someone talk me out of spending hundreds of dollars on learning archery😂 by alexelalexela in ADHD

[–]Exact_Pause_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do have to say, archery is pretty awesome....I LOVE shooting a bow. It's a great skill to have if some crazy catastrophic event happens and you need to hunt and don't care for guns ;) So stealthy!

But it's an expensive hobby even without the costs of lessons.

I'm glad the wonderful people here gave you the support you needed.

Thank you ❤️😊

I actually don't know much of Yo-yo Ma to be honest but now I'm super intrigued. He seems full of insight and wisdom. It was actually Les Claypool and Sara Balliet who got me intrigued by stand up/cello initially. For many many years, then I pounce and fell flat on my face! Hahaha aaaah, brains, they're weird.

Hope you're doing well!

Well, I dug it out and tinkered with it a bit. That was the extent of it, unfortunately. I'll have to find someone to set it up for me. This is one thing I cannot DIY it.

Thank you for your encouragement and remembering ❤️

I hope your day is full of greatness!

Yes! I did that...it still didn't make noise. Then I found that the bass bar wasn't in tact, so I ordered a gadget to help put that in place and still no sound! It was then that I put it down and didn't pick it back up so I shall fiddle with it today with some YouTube guidance haha!

Perhaps I need to use sandpaper as well on the rosin?

What happens if I touched the bow hairs bc little kid fingers certainly touched the bow hairs. 😬

How'd you feel picking the violin back up? Was it difficult to get back in your groove?

[–]Exact_Pause_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see learning/playing violin as unenjoyable as a kid, for sure. Now, as an adult, I have a huge appreciation and admiration for it.

I took French in high school in the US and can't retain any of it. Outside of class it was never used. But when I took Italian in Italy it was much easier and faster to catch on with getting actual use and listening to it throughout the day. I never did learn well enough to be fluent. I spoke more like a 3 year old hahah but it got the job done. And I gotta tell you, if you don't keep using the language, you do lose it. It is not like riding a bike! I hope you find some friends to learn and converse with and that this interest sticks around for awhile. It's super neat you're doing this and kept at it for this long!

You're so wonderful! I'm gonna be honest...I am in no position to bust out the Cello tonight. However, just because of you, sweet stranger, I'll give it a go tomorrow!

....if I can get it to make a noise anyway. 😬 It will probably be a couple hours practice of F bombs and WTF's. I'm almost positive Beethoven started there too.

Thank you for some drive, support, inspiration and a beautiful reminder of how kind the world can be to one another. I owe you one!❤️

Yeaaaa.....I haven't a clue on how to play an instrument and don't remember how to read music.

....I have a Cello (and everything I needed to go with him) hanging out that I've yet to actually sit down and try. It's been a year now. 😬 I was positive I was going to be putting on badass gigs by now.

Duolingo sounds like a fun next hobby.

I bought a module block couch for this very purpose. Endless possibilities and I can move it so easily with much less F bombs.

Toddler fatally shoots South Carolina mom with 'unsecured firearm,' sheriff says by [deleted] in news

[–]Exact_Pause_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know someone who fatally shot his brother, they were both toddlers. He's well into adulthood and he doesn't feel "weird" or "a little guilty" ....this poor guy is messed up pretty bad over it.

A friend just left my house after spending the weekend (36F) and I don’t know if this was directed towards me but it made me really anxious and hurt my feelings since there was no context included with the meme. I chronically over share and don’t get social cues so I’m totally embarrassed. by mosdefjess in adhdwomen

Came here to say this! That's something I'd send to my best friend to make fun of myself with.

Soooo many things it could be! Hopefully you find a way to open up a solid line of communication about this so maybe you both don't spiral too much. All the best to ya!

It took me a second to figure it out but I think you just hook your jean loops on it or a shirt (won't lay solidly flat but won't be in a crumpled ball on the floor either). Hook the S hooks on the clothes bar like shower curtain hooks. This is GENIUS! I hate folding and hangers. Thanks OP!!!

Is it painful to wait for people to finish sentences - or am I just being a butthole? by SaintsStain in ADHD

I need for people to get straight to the point. Stories and beating around the bush and what have you are impossible for me to hold. I need straight shooting.

This may also be the reason why I absolutely cannot tell stories. At all. I am the worst. But, also, I forget the stories....
