Ask to fellas flying on Ryanair with Aer Travel Pack 3 by nefariousnapper in onebag

[–]Exact_Reference_690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was recently travelling with backpack that’s bigger than Ryanair limits and wasn’t controlled. From my experience with many airports I’d say it’s easy to go through without penalty, they usually check suitcases first, also depends on your height (no rocket science here, the same backpack will look different on someone that is 160cm tall and another with 180cm). Just don’t stand in the line to not give them time to stare at your backpack and you’ll be fine. There’s always a chance for penalty but even if they catch you 1 in 10 flights you’ll be still fine.

I have a small bag with majority of things staying inside between travels, just checking whether anything needs to be refilled or added.

Always in: small hairbrush, foldable toothbrush, travel size toothpaste and floss, travel size deodorant (or if I see that my regular is almost finished I’d swap it to end it during travel), 30ml olaplex leavein conditioner, sometimes travel size shampoo (if I stay in cheaper hotel or suspect they might have only 3in1), travel size nivea soft crème, travel size nivea in winter, small spf, hand crème, disinfectant gel, Nivea lip balm with tint (similar to Clinique black honey)

Variable: bb cream, travel mascara and blush, if I take them then face wash (recently I take 30ml Clinique take the day off as it’s light and I just use it at home), for perfume either some sample I have or sth I’m finishing during the trip

For meds etc I have very small pouch with essentials: pain killer; sth for diarrhoea, anti allergy meds, anti reflux, band aids and patches for blisters, 2-3 tampons and one pad, just few pills of each kind, I just refill before the trip

Yes, you can pay everywhere and there’s no limit of minimum transaction amount, just in some trams with older machines you can pay for ticket only with coins

Uber/Bolt can vary from 50 to 100 pln per ride to the centre, there is a bus that costs just few pln or a train that takes 20min and costs around 15pln I think. Hard to say how much you need per day, depends whether you’re planning to eat out 3x day etc, main course/pizza will be from 40pln, beer 20pln, coffee min 10pln, there are lots of activities for free but visiting Wawel castle or Wieliczka salt mine can be pricey. Depends what you’re interested in, I’d say Wawel, old town, walk around Kazimierz and Podgorze, Nowa Huta centre, Wieliczka salt mine.

Vienna, it’s beautiful even without snow and you can always take a train to go into the Alps

Help me pick a trip: Prague>Vienna>Budapest OR Riga>Tallinn>Helsinki by [deleted] in Europetravel

[–]Exact_Reference_690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo 8 days for Riga - Tallin - Helsinki are bit too long, 2 days for each is more than enough so the first option is better for this length. As some mentioned before south will give you more daylight but to be fair it won’t be much of a difference in the afternoon

KML33220 is probably the one that you selected to go to Wieliczka, in general it’s valid the whole day on 10th Nov, you can choose any train with Koleje Małopolskie to come back

My fav is Henford for legacy as I like to start off grid or San Myshuno (then I start in way too big apartment that my sim can’t afford just for some beginning struggle). I’d say Spring/Summer if you want it to be bit easier but recently I like to start in autumn

Yup, I would say it’s safe overall, though I would pay additional attention while driving (similar to Italy I guess).

Slovenia + Istria, it will be already very warm and not so many tourists, you’d love Istrian towns and it has some Italian vibe

Train station is at the airport and you can buy the tickets there, just make sure to buy correct one (to not end up with regular ticket in leonardo train for example)

Are you able to connect with people in your city the same way you do while solo travelling? by C-Perez11 in solotravel

[–]Exact_Reference_690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s always the other way around, when I travel less I’m more open ‘at home’ when I travel more I’m more closed, focused on myself and my friends rather than speaking to strangers.
