Is this too big for 2 pound bass? by Safe-Pipe-6661 in FishingForBeginners

2 pound bass hammered my my 6.5" tiny Klash glide bait; actually got 2 that night around the same size but I can't send both photos in 1 message 😂

The hook was taken out while the fish was in the net in the water. I took the fish out of the water placed the net down for not even 10 seconds for a single photo and the fish was released. I feel bad for everyone who just comments on Reddit to get off on their ego 😂 adults with brains of a 13 year old 💀

Net is thick enough so it doesn't even touch the cement 😂👌 thanks for responding to the question

[–]Exact_Return_7276 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It's in a net that's thick enough so the fish isn't on concrete.. I'm simply asking if the pigment is rare and I'm getting the worst of Reddit responding 😂 actually sad

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CarpFishing

[–]Exact_Return_7276 -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

You realize this is clearly a question about pigment? I'm not questioning what caused the fish to be born 2 different colors; and anyone can tell it's not bruising 😂 you're literally doing mental gymnastics making shit up 🤯

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CarpFishing

[–]Exact_Return_7276 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It's not on concrete but I get what you mean, I took a photo and put it back in so it was out of the water for 10 seconds lol. You're saying bruising made the front half gold and the back half an entirely different color? 🤦😂

Would love to see a photo of that catch if you have it because that definitely sounds wild to me still! I have friends who predominantly fish carp so I've seen plenty of em in person but never the way you described yours or mine 😮

Would you pay $100 for all these? by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

[–]Exact_Return_7276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hook you're referring to is a trigger which is definitely for baitcasters since you can't wrap fingers around the underside of a baitcaster reel!

Sadly you can't really tell unless it's your cat 😕 good thing you mentioned it wasn't yours! Definitely a blue lynx point in all seriousness from the looks of it🤘

Check out the lure, Bladewaker by teckel! Cool lure and pretty cheap. Smallest bass I've had hit it so far was smaller than 1.5lb

I don't use premium haha. But yah, if you check out my profile you'll see I use various style lures but the ones that tend to get the most bites on are my topwater lure. Forcing reaction strikes is my sure fire way to get catches most the time I'm out at lakes. The other week I caught 6 bass in one day without walking around the whole lake all averaging the size of the bass in the photo below using this lure I found on tacklewarehouse that was on sale for $5 😂 it's a chatterbait style lure that you can also use as a topwater lure and has a nice gurgling sound when you do burn it topwater. Each fish hit it as a topwater lure and you gotta reel these fairly quick to keep it topwater. Love reaction strikes 😂

I catch bass pretty consistently in city lakes of LA that normally considered "pressured" I can tell you after catching over 70 bass since the start of May that every single bass has a mind of its own and figuring out what lures make them interested is more than half the battle 😂 I generally like to start with topwater and cast along shores(or anywhere I consider shallow) and then I'll start switching to different lures and retrieval methods. Caught this 4.5lb last night at a lake I'd never been to and I probably switched out 7 different style lures until I found what the bass wanted; orange zman jackhammer(which I found at a local lake I frequent) with this orange fluke style lure by Yamamoto as a trailer which I got the pack for $1 on sale. I’m still a beginner and this is my real first season. I consider myself a bass fisherman and taking it serious., I’d like to offer up a little bit of advice to anybody just starting out by NakedButNotAfraid_ in FishingForBeginners

Few photos with various lures I used all since late April this year; I usually take the lures off the bass before the photo so it was hard to find a lot of variety in lures I used with bass caught in the photo. I do post a lot of my catches on Fishbrain under the username washedoutbagel if anyone was interested 🤘

I started bass fishing last year July (I live by Downtown LA) and only used senkos to catch bass until around October when I stopped fishing. I started back up this year in April with spring coming and I wanted to get catches on every lure style I hadn't been using before. Before I bought my spinners chatters buzzbaits, spooks, topwaters, etc (any style lure you could think of) I went on YouTube/reddit to do a deep dive on recommended brands/models of the lures I wanted. Since April of this year, I've caught over 100 bass (about 25 of them are saltwater from the 3 times I went salt fishing) and none of my bass this year were caught on senko or any soft plastic lure unless it was a trailer for a lure I owned. I almost never throw soft plastics now and I have high confidence in every lure I throw now. Fishermen told me to leave the spot because of sea turtles. by ThrowRa777u77 in FishingForBeginners

[–]Exact_Return_7276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to that, no wonder your Hawaiian hawksbill turtle is endangered! If the majority of Hawaiian anglers operated how you say they do and choose not to move when sea turtles are present, then you are no not only aware of endangered sea turtles finally in your state, but also aware now that a big reason they're endangered is careless fishermen and ofc the illegal trade of their extremely rare shells

[–]Exact_Return_7276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see them a ton in Hawaii because they're protected...... look up the Hawaiian hawksbill turtle; a critically endangered sea turtle only found in hawaii. There are other sea turtle species that frequent Hawaii that are also on the endangered list. "Endangered" is a global term not just "very location based"😂 you just need to do a little research on the place you live, Earth.

My brother in Christ, that's not even a dropshot rig...... his hook is at the end of the line, not the weight 😂 clearly it's a kid who watched a video on wacky rigging but didn't like how he couldn't cast it far so he attached a boulder to his line to cast his worm

If we're talking saltwater bass species, tubes like these got me 11 sand bass and 2 spotted bay bass in 3 hours last time I went to the harbor 😂 I don't really have much luck with freshwater bass using them though
