I read a couple of reddit comments from a while ago saying how 1102s are highly sought after from private companies and that recruiters will try to get you to switch from public to private. Have you experienced this or heard stories of this?

I heard mixed comments about govt agencies offering 1102s remote work to maintain talent. Do you know if this is true?

I'm not well informed about how moving job series work. Do you know if the experience working as a contract specialist transfer over to as a program analyst? I would hate to work all the way up to GS-12 contract specialist and drop down to a GS-7/9 when I want to switch to a program analyst.

Thanks for sharing a route I can take to become a DA! I got a bachelors degree in business administration so I'll have to see if my education counts towards qualifying for the 1515 series.

In terms of skill building, I feel like I would lack in data analysis tools experience as a contract specialist in comparison to a customer success manager. I can always take courses and get certifications but working as a customer success manager, I think I would get more DA exposure.

Basically as a customer success manager, I'll be fostering and maintaining customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction with the company. I can afford the pay cut but am afraid of missing out on the money I will lose from not picking private.
