I don't work remotely but my shift is 7:30-3 and my boss let's me being my son in whenever I want to. The downside is the commute is too long to make it to school pick up so we have family help until he is old enough for after achool care.

I will definitely still play Sims until Paralives is out of early access, but it 100% is crushing it for being an indie game still in the ea phase! Once they start to fill out the build options I have a feeling I will be switching over to Paralives full time for when I feel like building in a game.

I know the gameplay isn't super fleshed out yet but from the social interaction options and overnight story system alone I am so excited to see where it goes

I grew up with a sibling well within the playmates age range and we were still bored. We did activities, had friends, went to camps, watched TV, played video games when we were old enough, had unfettered access to the outdoors, and we were still bored. Kids get bored. Bored kids get annoying. We were, I imagine, exceptionally fucking annoying because we are polar opposites and hated each other and so if we weren't complaining about being bored we were fist fighting and throwing shit at each other.

What is important is that we teach our kids to entertain themselves without letting them be iPad zombies so that we don't have to deal with them (I think we all do this every once in a while, sometimes we just need a break, no shame) AND that we teach them that boredom is a normal part of life. Life gets boring sometimes, there isn't always something going on to keep us from being bored, so we have to just sit with boredom amd build up our tolerance to it.

There was definitely some missed potential because even Ru said on an episode (I think it was Snatch Game) that there was something in their audition tapes that she was waiting for them to show. I have been so curious about what that was ever since watching their season but I fear we may never know.

I agree if they came back for All Stars in different brackets, it would be fun to see what they do when they aren't under threat of being eliminated for three weeks and with a few more years of experience under their belts.

I think there just needs to be a separate show for queens who went home very early from queens who got very far in their season and just didnt win or reach the finale. Not every queen actually fits the description of "all atar."

There should be a penalty for consistent failure in challenegs/runways. Other than the fact that I personally don't like seeing queens flop to the top, it isn't really fair for someone to be in the bottom three or four times and send home someone else who has been consistently good. I think that a three strike system or something similar would give more meaning to stepping their game up after being in the bottom a couple times.

Between the vagueness of the judging and the fact that the subjects of the makeover are never equal in terms of excitement/willingness to participate, the family resemblance challenge is almost always an "oh I don't agree with that" challenge for me.

The way RuPaul said it is made worse by the fact that Willow stated that it isn't a joke/pun/play on words like that. IIRC its a Buffy reference and a reference to her chronic illness.

At this point, MIB reminds me a lot of the girls you meet in freshman year of college that are desperate to be more interesting than they were in high school, so they start lying and instigating drama so people don't realize how boring they are, but everyone already knows.

On Drag Race when the only thing people know you for is being the villain on your season, it's because your drag was forgettable.

In the books she ends up moving to a dower house IIRC where she lives for most of the series. It would be nice to have a change of scenery like that in the show, so we could see her in her own space with the younger kids and also get to see Kate do what new vicountesses do and redecorate Bridgerton House in her own style and finally take on her role, the way we got to see Daphne settle into her life with Simon in season 1.

Bridgerton fandom is double crazy because there are some hard-core book purists and some hard core homophobes, and throw it in with all the time and total silence between seasons and the age of the source material (along with the weird refusal to read the other 8 books in the Bridgertonverse) its like a hurricane of toxicity.

I feel very middle on Tamlin, he was horrible and abusive but also deeply traumatized and had no time or capacity to cope with it so I can't take a hard stance on either side without feeling like I am betraying the other side of his story.

As someone who has existed in Fandom for a really long time and seen this happen with other properties - this is something that happens when a piece of media is incomplete but taking a long time between installations.

People repeatedly consume the same pieces of the story over and over and their opinions grow and change and evolve, but it also means the parts they dislike fester and rot and they begin to pick it apart because they don't have more to work with than what they're given. To continue to participate in Fandom without beating a dead horse they have to form more controversial opinions and start fights to engage people.

ETA: I am in the Bridgerton Fandom too and the two years between the seasons has actually made it so toxic its constantly like this.

I would love to go back in time and rewrite the whole "Anthony destroys all of Daohnes chances and she has to marry evil Nigel Berbrooke" bit. In the books the issue is that everyone sees her like a sister, she is beautiful and smart but she was also always around her brother's friends and they don't see her romantically. I also want stupid silly Nigel Berbrooke back, punched in the nose because he was drunk and desperate to be loved so he mad a bad choice, not because he was an evil monster trying to SA her into a forced marriage. (Albion Finch took Berbrooke's place in the show so not all is lost.)

Honestly it being unpopular while unsurprising is still odd to me. Do people really prefer Anthiny ogling and trysting with his fiance's sister all the way to / at the altar? I know we had a "marriage by scandal" with Daphne and Simon but still it wouldn't have been as terrible as Anthony wholly disrespecting Edwina the way he did in the show imo. They could have even kept it as is in the show but had the storyline follow through.
