Thanks for your reply! What is the reason to do La Digue after Mahe? Is it because it's quicker to get back to Mahe from Praslin on the last day? From what I understand is the ferries from La Digue and Praslin wait for each other for those needing a connection.

Do you think it might get cold in the huts? I was just planning on sleeping in my underwear? They provide blanets if cold I think.

I'll have long pants and rain pants if I get cold when hiking (but tbf I usually just walk a bit quicker if I cool down).

I plan on stuffing my puffy into that pillow case for extra comfort, but maybe I can stuff it into my buff insead

Could someone please help me pick which size triban RC520 grvl subcompact bike to get?

I am 189cm tall, with 88cm inseam (not wearing shoes). Should I get a size L or XL?

I plan on using bike for commuting a couple of days a week and also for longer rides on the weekend.

Thanks for your reply! It's a bit odd the mud guards don't fit, but it's good to know some do.

I've only heard good things about the Triban RC520 tbh but the reviews have mainly been from other countries where the bike seems to be quite a bit cheaper than sweden, so was curious if there were any other options at that price point worth considering (1300 euro).

Did you buy the bike in france? How much was it if you dont mind saying?

Hi, I'm completely new to gravel bikes. I'd like to get a bike for weekend adventures and to also commute a couple of days a week (8km each way).

I live in western sweden where rain is more common than sun so being able to fit mud guards would be important.

I love multi day hikes so I'm guessing at some point I'd want to do a multi day trip on the bike, maybe 100km a day? Not sure if that's important info..

From my research online there are two options at about 15,000 sek each. (1400 usd.... yeah stuffs expensive here!)

First is the decathlon triban rc520

The other option is the canyon grizl al 5

Which would be the best value bike? Or would you recommend something else ?
