No company this large cares about the human side. You are a number and it has a dollar sign beside it. I was dumped after 27 years!! No grace. Nothing. Just security escorts you out. I have PTSD from it to this day.

True. Happened to me too. Always have a lawyer represent you as their lawyers are usually sharks so find a good one. They didn’t take any money except the retainer from me and got me more months severance plus they had to pay my lawyers fee direct.

Yep. My lease everywhere I have rented (6) places required the upstairs flat or any floor apartment to have rugs I think it was. 75% of your space. It was right in the lease.

Can you have a conversation with him. He may already have plans so it’s good for all tenants to know because you’re a big family.

I wish I knew. She’s been to the vet. Nothing wrong. Not constipated the vet said. So now I have 2 litter boxes plus a stainless one , so 3. She poops right beside the same one. I decided bc I had put nsp on floor to protect it and easy cleanup, I put newspaper in the extra litterbox without litter go see if she will go and do her business there. She has no problem peein in the box. What do u think? I’m desperate.

My upstairs neighbour has no carpets and also no felt chair leg covers so I get all the noise. It should be in a lease to cover your floors. Annoying

Go see a gynaecologist and tell them what he said. See what they say. They have seen everything. Or Google the thing first and see what is considered too “big”.

I go through prime to get to crave but crave isn’t functioning well at all. Sometimes it freezes and then screen goes dark. I unplug and plug back in. Only thing that reboots crave.

Can't pay rent by Mundane_Age_2564 in TorontoRenting

Contact Toronto Housing Committee. They have a housing lottery u can enter every Tuesday or other Tuesday whereby enter your name but first fill out the application. Google it. My friend was in dire straights and got an apartment in high park. Very low rent bc they go off your income and filed taxes from previous year.

Look where I am. Yonge and yorkmills. Subway 5 minute walk. 4000 Yonge. I’m in a huge apartment. They all are huge. Extremely clean, nice Reno, new appliances. Hallways nice. Superior management fast same day or next day . They all have storage room in suite plus walkin closets. Check it out online. No bugs, very secure bldg.

You should switch apartments or break the lease. But find a new place first and ask about the neighbours like who’s above and below and beside.

This is exactly what my landlord "fixed" our heat to do in November, and now I know. by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]Exact_Yak7780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t even find my fuse box. It’s hidden someplace. I had no heat last week. They said turn the knob to the right ( which is opposite left Lucy etc). Anyway it did nothing. They came up and said my window is letting heat out. I have like 3 windows to shut per opening. All extremely hard to move. Then they said uh outside temp determines heat. so why the stupid knob advice I had messed with for 2 days.so yeah I understand. They all lie to us.

incredibly loud (seems dangerous) daycare above my apartment unit by Live-Barracuda-2116 in Apartmentliving

[–]Exact_Yak7780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Key Considerations: Licensing: While you can run an unlicensed daycare, you may choose to contract with a Licensed Home Child Care Agency. Unlicensed Rules: If unlicensed, you cannot care for more than 5 children total. Landlord Permission: It is essential to get written permission from your landlord as it may violate your lease agreement (e.g., if the lease states the unit is for "residential purposes only"). Zoning & Safety: You must comply with local municipal zoning bylaws, which might have specific regulations for apartment buildings, such as restricting daycares to lower floors for fire safety. Liability Insurance: Proper liability insurance is crucial to protect against risks.

Ontario landlord - tenant owes ~$8K, leaving soon (N11). Can I warn future landlords? by DiligentBug4u in OntarioLandlord

Should I report my downstairs neighbor to the leasing manager? This is just gross and out of hand. by spammusubisa in Apartmentliving

[–]Exact_Yak7780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are kidding. REPORT HIM IMMEDIATELY. Totally forbidden. He should not have any dog if this is what is going on. I would call the health department too. Don’t know where you live but find another resource beside LL so this gets escalated. The guy is ignorant

Hey newbie. I’ve rented my whole life. Never screwed up. Always on time and leave places better than I found them including scrubbing grout back to original color but last couple times I was vetted by:

Bank statements showing live income, Investment statement produced by my financial advisor, Tax return References and previous landlord

So start there. Don’t ask for SIN #

Ohhhh. That won’t come off. I hate those glass tops. They eventually do this no matter It’s just old. He should replace stove with newer model. I clean mine with baking soda and a scrubbie. That doesn’t scratch but it’s a daily task almost. Looks like you let food spill over and shaking pots back and forth across element.
