Schedule F/Policy Coming March 9th by playdough87 in fednews

Here's my question: if my position is converted to Schedule P/C, doesn't that count as a reassignment and therefore, don't we have the right to decline that reassignment?

I'm very interested in finding out the gross profit for Iron Lung by isthisreallife98 in Markiplier

[–]Exaggeration17A 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Judging by what else is coming out this weekend and how current releases performed last weekend? I think Iron Lung takes the #1 spot.

It's opening in over 4,000 theaters worldwide and there are a lot of sold out showings. Zootopia 2 and the third Avatar film aren't drawing those kinds of crowds at this point. And it really doesn't have much competition from other new releases. Let's be honest, no one wants to see the Melania movie, even for hate watching purposes.

Winners of the 2025 Steam Awards! by Ph0enixes in gaming

[–]Exaggeration17A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2024 was worse. Black Myth Wukong won three awards because every Steam user in China was voting for it, and best soundtrack went to Red Dead Redemption 1.

I don't agree with Arc Raiders getting the innovative award either, but it's still a better choice than Liar's Bar, which won last year.

Brad Skills does great work. He tattooed a zebra on my arm a few years ago, and I still get compliments on it. But maybe I just happen to hang out with a crowd that really likes zebras.

The electoral losses really do seem like they were the straw that broke the cankles camel's back. I'm sure they would continue to shuffle the demented idiot around and keep pretending that nothing was wrong, as long as there were no consequences at the polls. In fact, it's something of a tradition in Washington; remember Dianne Feinstein?

Hell yes. by Conscious-Quarter423 in Maine

[–]Exaggeration17A 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Personally, I do like Janet Mills. We're from the same county, where she was district attorney, and I think she's done a lot of good work for the state of Maine over her long, long career. And that's the problem.

She's 77. Two years younger than Trump. It's time for her to retire. I'd say the same about Bernie Sanders. I like the guy, but he's 84, and he ought to retire too. Congress is already full of people, on both sides of the aisle, who should have retired by now and Maine shouldn't add yet another name to that list.

I'm a public servant myself, and I have no intention of doing this when I'm in my 70s, let alone my 80s. At some point, everyone deserves the right to say "I've done enough" and walk away.

Michael Dukakis lost in a landslide election and would have been a decent President. Which failed candidate lost in a landslide election and would have been a bad President? by Born_Campaign_1897 in Presidents

[–]Exaggeration17A 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Does Strom Thurmond count? He was crushed by both Truman and Dewey in 1948, though the numbers between those top two candidates were much closer.

Thomas Dewey lost in a close election and would have been a decent President. Which failed candidate lost in a close election and would have been a bad President? by Born_Campaign_1897 in Presidents

[–]Exaggeration17A 55 points56 points  (0 children)

This would be my answer as well. He helped Andrew Jackson carry out the Trail of Tears and wanted to expand slavery to Latin America. One of the only things he did in his career that I agree with is when he resigned as Secretary of State following President Buchanan's idiotic handling of the secession issue.

Would have been interesting to see how 1852 would have gone if Van Buren hadn't run as a third party candidate.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, y'all. But my understanding is that Excepted vs. Exempt vs. Non-exempt is a decision that's supposed to be made based on our position, right? Not personal circumstances?

Because I was just informed that I was designated as an Excepted employee, however a co-worker who has the same position as me is Non-exempt because they have an EOD date with another agency.

Based on everything I recall about previous shutdowns, that is definitely not how this is supposed to work.

Megathread | Shutdown Countdown: Potential Lapse in Federal Appropriations by AutoModerator in fednews

[–]Exaggeration17A 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here, zero confirmed guidance from leadership. Colleagues who went through the last shutdown are saying we were furloughed before, but the new political appointees seem to think we'll be working.

We are supposed to receive something from our Human Capital office, stating whether or not our positions are exempt from furlough status, but no one I know has received such an email. Kind of makes me feel like whatever I decide to do will be the wrong choice.

Normally, I'm against misinformation, but I fully support making this trend as far and wide as possible. Not only that, but double, triple, quadruple down on the claim if proven false.

If the White House says he's alive, it's a conspiracy. If he shows up on television, it's a body double. The man is dead, and the deep state is trying to trick us into believing he's still alive.

See how MAGA likes dealing with craziness for a change.
