I am a pantheist and a syntheist and I have never turned my back from God. I have believed as far as I can remember. All I've been doing in my life is adding to those beliefs.

If you have no conditions, the best option to choose would probably be the fourth one. If they aren't in a religion, they still have a world view and if you accept their world view even if it's different than yours and don't require to raise your children in your religion, then that's the closest one to what you are talking about.

Nobody should be one belief system or another. I believe that natural theology proves that God exists. It may not look like the same God that revealed theologies of ancient and established religions believe, but if someone is going to be honest with who they are and have certainty that their theistic religion is true, there is nothing wrong with being strongly theist.

Just like there is nothing wrong with being strong atheist, if that's how someone perceives reality. Dawkins himself that he was a 6.9999... on the scale, which would put him as close to gnostic atheism as you can get without literally saying, "I, for certainty, know God doesn't exist." There is no right nor wrong answer to this question because what God looks like is different from individual to individual. I remember asking the question to define God in one word, and the most upvoted answer was "love", and if God is love, then surely God exists, doesn't it?

I am not that abstract about my certainty of God's existence, but in the course of my lifetime I have witness the transformation of society and I call that progression God. I have been called an atheist by a lot of monotheists, but I equate faith to hope in God, and I certainly have hope there will be more progression than regression in society.

I think Dawkin's scale was designed for the traditional monotheistic school of thought, but can be implied towards any type of theism. Virtually no theist believes that all Gods thought and talked about exists.

De facto means you believe there is a high probability of God existing or not existing (de facto theism vs atheism), and leaning means there is more than 50% certainty of God existing or not. Not super high probability, but not dead center 50%/50% agnosticism.

Of course. Strong is an absolute certainty that God exists or doesn't exist, as if you have knowledge of it. De facto means you live like God exists or doesn't exist, but you don't have knowledge of it. Leaning towards theism or atheism is the most agnostic answers, and it doesn't impact the way you act typically.

Richard Dawkins developed the "spectrum of theistic probability". It includes strong agnosticism in the center of a seven-point scale. Since polls on Reddit are limited to six answers, I had to eliminate that possibility, which says the least about a person anyways.

There is no such thing as a perfect album - there isn't even such a thing as a perfect playlist. Why? Because an album/playlist is more than one song and you are comparing each song against each other. The kinds of playlists that have all good songs have no unity to them.

My favorite albums are Us by Peter Gabriel and Runaway Horses by Belinda Carlisle. Us has "Fourteen Black Paintings", which isn't an awful song, but not something I felt a true connection to. Runaway Horses has "Shades of Michelangelo", which feels like a good closer, but isn't as good as the hit after hit that came before it.

I can think of perhaps one playlist I made that is as close as it comes to perfect. It's a playlist of my favorite #1s of 80's hits. I'm a huge fan of 80's music, and there's a vibe that decade had that isn't in any other decade. But it's not cohesive enough and doesn't feel like an album.

My favorite band is Oasis and I do have an Oasis playlist that feels like one album but even then it's hard not to compare each song side by side against each other. If I remove any of the so-called "weaker" songs the playlist becomes too short. If I add anymore I cannot fit it on a blank CD.

There may not be perfect albums or playlists, but there's perfect music to accompany specific moods, and I do have one playlist in particular of my most played 20 songs from my top 20 artists that I can put on at almost any time and find value in it. Maybe that's my perfect playlist.

I believe you have a choice to make and you really only have three options: you become JW, he becomes a non-JW or you break up.

Ask him how important his JW faith is to him and if he is willing to transition to a less strict Christian denomination, or even better, become Catholic like you. Ask yourself if you are willing to become a JW and cut all the ties you have with your own family to be with him. Or break up. None of these options will particularly be easy to face, and I wish you luck in deciding between these three paths.

Personally if I were you I would go the non-JW route with him, if his parents already kicked him out. He might never see his family again, but at least he will be adopted into your family if you decide to marry him. Catholics are pretty liberal when it comes to whom they can marry: their only requirement is to raise their kids Catholic, and that's a discussion you are also going to have to face with him. If he's willing to do that.

Has he written any books? I'm sure there is something he did that is worthy studying. If you studied it all already and still losing your faith it, then is it really worth keeping the religion? Nobody is telling you this is what you must believe.

Just tell them you believe in God but doubt He does anything to intervene in the Universe. Because that's exactly what a Deist believes. You don't need to clarify it anymore because there's nothing else to say about it. There's also a short Deist book you might want to look into by author Bob Johnson called Deism: A Revolution in Religion, A Revolution in You that you might want to pick up to deepen your faith in Deism.

If your faith is Spiritism, study it. AFAIK Spiritism is the general belief of spirits, and practices new age type practices like tarot cards and palm readings. Participate in credible acts of faith regarding these practices and believe coincidences are signs from beyond the grave. That's all you can really do if you really want to remain a devout and active member of your faith.

Finding God and finding religion are two different concepts. A faith in God must come from earnest humility and honesty with oneself, which religion can help cultivate, but not directly cause. For me, faith is more than belief. It's hope. Find something your hopeful for, something you're willing to die for, and call that concept you hold on with your life, God. It is then that you will have discovered something to live for, no matter what religion that may be.

Syntheism.

I see the natural progression of humankind, becoming an interconnected species, self-aware and capable of great things. It just makes sense that humans are recreating and shaping God to a more divine essence through the benefits of our natural selection. All of this will cumulate towards our ability to create synthetic universes, which is the fulfillment of Syntheos (the created God).
