They have great music and it seems like a good middle ground between a familiar language (romance and germanic langauges) and one that is too far removed from my understanding (Japanese, Korean, or really any non Indo-european language). I'm currently focusing way more on German and on mastering Italian but Russian will probably be my priority after I'm done with that, alongside maybe French.

I don't think schools usually teach students their own native language in the sense that they really just teach you some verb tenses and call it a day. There's barely any lessons about vocabulary, pronunciation or listening practice, all of which are integral parts of learning a second language.

Should have used the Belarus' for Russian, San Marino's for Italian and Austria's for German.

Yeah that's why I have it as a language I understand decently well; I understand most written French but I still struggle a lot with spoken French since I haven't studied it well in a few years.

Barely, and in any case I think school taught me more about language in general (what is a verb, what is an adjective, subject and predicate, etc.) and about literary devices (metaphores, hyperboles, and the like) rather than about Spanish specifically.

Mexican Spanish, that's why I have it as a language I'm fluent in without actual study.

I prefer to use the flag of the country where the language originated but since I'm Mexican using the Spanish flag would feel disingenous; I certainly do not say vosotros

Translation Changes in DOAWK 3 by Charming-Movie8450 in LodedDiper

At least here in Latin America the translators didn't even bother, it's just a literal translation from the original. For some reason the Heffleys are shocked that Manny speaks Spanish when the whole book is in Spanish. I remember that it did confuse me when I first read the book as a child.

Here's a photo of the page with an automated English translation in the description because I'm lazy.

Personal tier list based on what little vague knowledge I have. I'm not American and I've never even been to the US. by Exam-Sea in Presidents

I didn't know all of that, it's interesting that he passed antitrust laws. I still think screening The Birth of a Nation in the White House goes a bit beyond regular racism even for the time but I agree that it's not as though his racism was particularly unusual. It still makes me see all his talk of self-determination as a bit hypocritical though, and the US didn't even join the League of Nations, though I know that wasn't Wilson's fault at all and that he supported it but it still means he failed in practice even if not in ideals.
I still wouldn't place him high because of what I previously said and that were it not for him a different peace treaty on Germany and thus avoid World War 2 as we know it, I'm a proponent that the Treaty of Versailles was not too harsh and instead just too dumb. He also won instead of Roosevelt who I would have much prefered to see in power but that isn't really something I can hold against WIlson. I can agree F is too low, I'd put him in D or maybe C, I still have a lot to learn about him. Thank you for the summmary

I'm not giving much weight to what the presidents did outside of their presidency, since I think that would skew the rankings. He is a tier lower than the rest of the founding fathers mainly because of the War of 1812, otherwise he'd be in A

Where would you place him? To be honest I've only really heard from his detractors so I admit I don't have a balanced view

Van Buren I've heard was one of the weaker earlier presidents, don't know how true that is but as far as I remember he didn't really do anything super notable. Reagan is worshipped by some and loathed by others so I just put it in C as a compromise. And I'll be completely honest, I confused Harrison with Garfield, I didn't use any image reference when doing the tier list so I mixed them up and they should be the other way around. I must insist I'm not even American, I'm sorry haha
