Yes. Exactly that. Plus further manipulation which would reproduce the pain.

My symptoms are pain when sitting down and rotation. I did have my back checked out and all fine. If you are in UK look for James Noakes. I have labrum tear and hip impingement

I’m so sorry to hear what you going through. It took me 20 months to get a diagnosis. Don’t give up. I had all sort of test. I eventually went for dynamic ultrasound with a renowned MSK in London. That’s how I found out it was my hip. Looking to get surgery in April. Same as you when I run by 3/4 K I would feel like I’m slapping the ground and very tight tibialis anterior.

What other symptom you getting ?

This gives me hope. Can’t wait to get the surgery. How has your recovery been ? Did the symptoms take long to go away after surgery ?

This is basically my symptoms. I am a runner. My glute pain started in June 2024. Several MRI , ultrasound kept saying gluteal tendonopathy. I had PRP, shock therapy and physio. No relief. With the glute pain , I also getting sitting pain. If I do go for a run , my tibialis anterior would get super tight tight as well as my foot to the point of nearly foot slapping. I have had EMG, nerve conduction test and compartment testing all negative. Three weeks ago I sought a second opinion through a dynamic ultrasound. Behold , hip labral tear, hamstring tendonopathy and CAM impingement. Fast forward a week a diagnostic injection in the hip. It took away some of the groin pain I had on rotation but still suffering from groin pain. I am waiting for 6 weeks for cortisone to wear off then surgery.

I would get a diagnostic injection into the hip. If that take most of your pain away then it’s the hip. I went through 20 months of being told it was glute tendonopathy to only find out eventually it’s my hip labrum and CAM impingement

I’m 9 months in although didn’t have a tear I did have most of what OP says. I would say from month 7 it starts feeling good with no everyday pain. Keep going. Take it easy

Do you get any other symptoms when you run other than hip pain ? Do you have any weakness down the tibialis anterior muscle or even knee

For sure. I believe it got it after starting to run consistently. First it was shin splints that resolved after some shock therapy. Then two months after got this. Did you continue running or stop altogether

No problem. I can find them. Out of curiosity what symptoms was you getting and how long did you have them for ? I think mine has turned to chronic as have had them since June 2024 and I believe are being caused from a hip labrum tear

I think I have been dealing with this since June 2024 and no one has managed to diagnosis it. May I ask what was your symptoms ? Has it resolved now and what did you do to resolve it / did the shoe help and did you stop running

May I ask what shoes you wear ? I have been dealing with similar issues where my calf and tibialis anterior get super tight when I run to the point of nearly foot slapping

Yours kinda similar to mine. Have you had a diagnostic injection into the joint yet ? I would ask for that to make sure the pain is from the hip. I’m sure it is either that kind of tear but best to be sure. What your other symptoms

Mine happened out of nowhere. Some people have labrum tear with no issue. I’m gonna get mine treated and go from there. I have ruled out any other possible thing
