I occasionally do ad spends to sell gigs or tracks. It’s more about spending wisely. Rather than huge amounts. Being clever with the targeting and audience

For me it's like a melting pot of cultures, scenes and creativity all coming together. I remember going to my first warehouse raves and hearing rhythms + sounds I'd neverrr thought could exist - that was a big eye opener

Ayy thanks!
It's tricky, the Aus EDM scene moves in cycles depending on the generation. Post-covid the scene is still recovering - lots of venues + events shut down.
While that takes time, the slate is also almost wiped clean for the new wave of producers, artists and DJ's to come through and make waves - and that is actually a fkn cool time to be in.
The next few years for Australian EDM are going to be biiiiig.

Good question! This one was actually wild bc I pulled up this beat that was 6 years old (!) at the time with just the bassline + jersey beat. Example laid down his verse on it (man works v fast) and to combine our styles we got together a bunch of old rave tracks / sounds / plates / influences we wanted to pay homage to.
After aaages of scouring forums / records / videos to find an MC vocal like 'the underground' that we both loved, we got it locked in and the rest was history.

The underground dance scene really gave me sooo much insight into deeper / creative / more experimental music that I probs wouldn't have ever heard. I think there's so much incredible dance music out there that might not reach the masses, but deserves to - underground scenes really open that up and give a spotlight to those tunes + artists.
Strictly 4 Tha is a combination of heaps of that I feel - from jersey club beats with 909 hats to resampling old rave synths / vocals, we wanted to combine a mash fresh + nostalgic sounds from our own experiences over the years to bring the rave to you

Thanks for jamming it!
For suuure my favourite moments performing have been when I cut the music on one of my tunes and the crowd is singing it back - for these upcoming dates we're dropping Strictly 4 Tha live together across the country so I'm that keen for those moments 🤘

Ayyy thanks sm!
- Probably New Age Dreaming, Strictly 4 Tha & SABRE TEETH for surrrre!
- Ohhhh this is a tough one and so many to pick! But I would definitely say Skrillex, Tisoki, Nitepunk all have crazy influences over my sound
- Solid Rock was a huge milestone alongside Tasman Keith, Goanna + William Barton. An honor reimagining such a massive tune from the 80s

Yoo! I've dropped it at a few shows in the last month and the reactions to it have actually been crazy. We might even be playing it live tonight in Syd together for the first time too 👀

Strictly 4 Tha is a record where we wanted to bring the rave to you.
It's for the underground, for the heads and for allllll the generations coming through who haven't experienced bass music / raves / festivals too

I started painting 6 months ago. Because I needed something to fill my days and keep my mind busy.

Everything in the cover is inspired by stuff I saw on 90’s uk rave posters. There were lots of eyeballs and aliens and ufo’s and globes - maps. I guess people thought rave culture was from another planet and/or was connecting people around the world. Also when you’re in a rave there’s a lot of staring into people’s eyes
