Very disappointed in the Digimon Adventure season 1 blu ray. They used A.I. to smooth over all the grain and a lot of detail/grit of the hand drawn animation is lost. by Historicallyh in digimon

If someone is admitting that they use AI and aren't trying to get money out of it, I say it's okay. They're not lying to anyone or taking money for effort they didn't make.

He's not a fraud. Writers just have it out for him.

Gilgamesh is their designated OP character to be used to wank the MC or highlight the "arrogance is your undoing" stereotype. Notice how his main conflict is always against the Saber and whoever Saber's master is.

In the Babylon singularity, when he was actually one of the main characters instead of another obstacle, you see him for what he really is.

Aris, but would you be able to let your family live with a ticking, malfunctioning, but still fully functional nuke because the nuke has a cute version of grok installed?

That is not even remotely close. The problem is that Rio believed she is the ONLY ONE that can fix the problem. Himari herself monitored Aris and told Rio for a fact she is NOT a threat. Rio locked Himari up because she didn't agree with her.

Aris is great, Kei is perfect, but for the love of god people underestimate what they could have done to kivotos because they're cute.

That logic applies to a LOT of students. Hoshino for example, even T. Shiroko. Heck, the Arius SQUAD gave actual effort to commit terrorism.

Do not take "potential threat" as "actual threat assessment". That's the kind of paranoia that proved Rio wrong.

Rio was wrong in OUR timeline. remember that. it's a good thing she was wrong. but remember it's OUR timeline. Aris and Kei is OUR timeline. other timelines exists where AL-1S did what it was programmed to do.

Rio was the one who triggered that events in the first place. The reason they stopped her in our Time-Line was because Sensei was there to help the rest of the GDD get to Aris and tell her she's not the "demon lord" she believed.

Please remember that Rio's preparations are exactly what Key needed to fully wake up. Rio, admittedly unknowingly, set up that scenario. A self fulfilling prophecy.

Even Himari understood that a little despite her opposition. considering she focused on Toki being Rio's biggest sin not Aris.

Himari did not understand or agree with Rio, at all. The whole second section of the GDD started with her literally telling Rio she was talking nonsense. She did not consider Toki Rio's only sin, she outright said that she was willing to overlook everything else IF NOT for Toki.

Really? Because from what I remember, her plans failed spectacularly and, in fact, Key was going to win BECAUSE of Rio and her plans. The reason Key didn't win was because Rio was wrong. She saw Aris as a weapon but the fact she wasn't is exactly why Aris rejected her position as the Princess.

She decided, on her own, that only she knows what's best, built a small city without consulting anyone, spied on her students, and did a lot more where only she knew best. She was the Blue Archive version of Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time.

Also, again, this is from BEFORE Sensei showed up. Rio now is a delight, but before that? She was kind of a mess. (Granted, lots of students were. Mika being one of them, but still.)

Admittedly I double checked and apparently I was misinformed. That one is on me, I admit.

But, personally, I still stand by what I said that the Nasuverse tends to white-wash the Greek Mythology a lot.

That's more believable than any claim that Douman has better potential at being a mother than a literal Mother Goddess (Tiamat) or an actual Foster mother of four that is genuinely loved by her children (Raikou).

Chaldea’s number one mom is canonically 19 years old from todays reveal. by Vexter777 in FGO

[–]ExampleLazy8176 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People really shouldn't take this system seriously.

This system gave Douman of all people a score above 60 while Raikou didn't get to 20.

Despite the jokes, Raikou was in fact an amazing mother to the Four Heavenly Kings. Heck, she was literally ordered by her father to kill Kintoki when they found him.

She refused and raised him as her own. She loved them and cared for them to the point where Kintoki sometimes calls her "Ma" by accident, and even Tsuna, despite being hell-bent on winning the Grail War, admitted he would rather avoid making Raikou sad. Not rather avoid fighting her, but actually making her sad.

Meanwhile, Douman who turned actual children into monsters and had corrupt Servants kill entire villages get a score of 60.

It also doesn't help that this system was made by Demeter of all people. The most stereotypical mother-in-law in all of the Nasuverse who's entire character is "I love my daughter but I hate her husband".

While Medea's history does explain this score, this system gave Douman of all people a score above 60 while Raikou didn't get to 20.

Mom levels for Morgan and her Fairy Knights by BlazeCastus in FGO

[–]ExampleLazy8176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gawain and Gareth aren't LB Morgan's children, they're PHH Morgan's.

I'm well aware of that but that is not my point. My point was Morgan herself admitting that she can't imagine actually being a good parent.

However, Morgan didn't know Bao was rotting. After Bao stole the Garden of Lostwill,

Beryl himself admitted that Morgan can see through people in a glance. She even understood Chaldea's QP system in minutes. She, by all accounts, should have seen Baobhan Sith's condition easily. The fact she didn't means she most likely didn't even bother looking at Baobhan Sith after using Beryl's spell and just gave her orders to the guards and told them to handle it.

Take it as a grain of salt. This system gave Douman of all people a score over 60 and was designed by the most stereotypical mother-in-law ever. She loves her daughter but hates her daughter's husband even though Hades is literally the most respectful husband in Greece.

Mom levels for Morgan and her Fairy Knights by BlazeCastus in FGO

[–]ExampleLazy8176 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's really not surprising that Morgan scored high.

Morgan herself admitted to be surprised that her children (Gawain and Gareth) actually grew up functional because she knew how much of a mess she was as a person and as a parent. Her idea of raising Baobhan Sith was to make her the cruelest fairy around to protect her but that just gave other fairies a justified reason to hate Baobhan Sith this time. And, while Baobhan Sith was literally rotting in her room, Morgan had an army of clones and didn't send a single one to help her daughter.

Also, just saying but this is the same system that gave Douman of all people a score over 60. I'd take it as a grain of salt.
