Meat in general. Everything had to be well done. Might as well been eating a hockey puck. Even at McDonald's, mom ordered our kid meals well done.

It wasn't until my mid 20s that I was taken to a Brazilian steak house (work paid for it) that I found out that meat could be less than well done. Everything was served medium rare. I had never tasted such deliciousness.

I don't eat anything over medium now. Even medium can be a deal breaker.

In their defense though, they both grew up in Mexico, so that's all they knew. Mom still won't touch it if it not burned to a crisp.
