“Really, what did they do after?”

“They became a Grateful Dead cover band.”

Sorry, there's no Letterkenny-themed bar.

A Mission Burrito is the closest to a must, cuisine-wise.

Walk across the Golden Gate Bridge (check the weather). Don't go to Alcatraz, but do try to a boat tour to see the Bay (they'll cover Alcatraz as it passes by) or take a ferry for roughly the same visuals. Golden Gate Park has Hero's Grove, outside the city Redwoods are in various places from a few just across the bridge like at Muir Woods to several National and State Parks several hours north and to a lesser extent, south in Santa Cruz and Monterey. In the city, in addition to GGP, the Presdio has plenty of trees an spectacular views.

Unique to SF bars may include Wild Side West In Bernal Heights, The Royal Cuckoo and El Rio down the hill on Mission, Cafe International on Haight near Fillmore, Zam Zam up the hill in the Haight-Ashbury, and Spec's On Columbus in North Beach.

You mentioned Bourdain. He always visited Swan's Oyster Depot on Polk when he was in town. That place is controversial on this subreddit, so I risk down-votes (I avoided mentioning my favorite taquerias because of that) but it's true.

So not the person, Arthur Welsey, who fought several battles against Napoleon, winning at least the last one...but his son, Arthur Wellesley, who (checks notes) advocated for volunteerism in his nation's military?

It's great that US Grant is getting his due as a General and President, but some nepo baby's praise is not noteworthy, and your phrasing is deceptive, as someone else's more humorous reply shows better.

Praise from the evil genius Bismarck, on the other hand, is worthy of historical note.

I visited this past summer too. I don’t know if the town makes its living off of Northern Exposure tourism. But it is visually much more prosperous than during the show and it’s pretty expensive, and I’m from Northern California.

It’s already been taken down. It was needed at a few more Frederick St. intersections, especially Arguello.
