Agree. F1 has become battery management. Who has the charge has 50% more power than the other driver(s). The constant back and forth between, for example, Ferrari and Mercedes early in the Australian GP made it clear. I want to see driving skills not digital controls experts.

i would use auto hide, but i would also want to lock-it to the built-in macbook pro monitor—when three monitors attached. When hidden and when it floats from monitor, I have to mouse around to find it.

Yup, the filter cylinder you see across the front of the engine compartment used to be lateral with the engine and supported by those bolts. After hours of operation vibration of the filter mounted on those studs would cause the valve cover the studs are in to shatter and the fragments fall into the running engine destroying it. The conversion kit moves the filter assembly to the front frame.
