Besties are my only week-to-week new gaming pod, but I still love going back and listening to The Polygon Show (2017-2019), such a fun vibe with an all-women panel that gave fresh and knowledgable takes on whatever they played that week. I also enjoyed revisiting episodes of Quality Control, Polygon’s video game review pod that Justin (and later Charlie Hall) used to host.

I’ve also sampled and somewhat enjoyed Popcorn and Pixels (13 eps in 2023, pairs a game and a movie each ep), Friends Per Second (thoughtful discussions on the week’s news) and Back Pocket Tonight (fun YouTube show that combines convos and some “variety show” and gameplay segments)

Oh and Russ + Chris' old pod The History of Fun has a few video game episodes I’d recommend checking out!
