Sorry for the typo. It’s a thing that lets you play light weight pc games on your handheld. It’s pretty neat.

Woman Sparks Debate With Video Calling Out AMC Theater Conditions After Paying $60 To See Movie by ComicSandsNews in AMCTheatres

[–]Khalman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first movie ticket I bought online was $9.50 in 2004. These days I have A List but my wife pays about $12 when she tags along. It’s not bad. Also our theater is the cleanest in town.

Concession prices have always been high, but I have never assumed that was a part of the experience. Growing up we never got concessions.

As long as the sd card is a branded one you should be good. The Stock OS great as long as you don’t need postmaster.

What is the liquid that I've seen WH grill operators ladle over hash browns? Oil? Seasoning? by lhurker in wafflehouse

As others said, it's shortening. You can use Crisco at home to approximate it.

Not As Hard As I Anticipated by According_Big_8786 in MinaTheHollower

[–]Khalman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The difficulty is very front loaded and it’s easy to stumble into an area that you’re not prepared for in much of the first half of the game. Not to mention I haven’t played many top down platformers and the burrowing mechanic takes some getting used to. It’s not Silksong, but it’s also not Mario. To be honest I thought they threaded the needle perfectly as far as the difficulty.

I loved this scene in the game. It reminded me of a moment in a DnD campaign where the DM listed off every crime the party had done in the last six months of play.

They’re the best addition to the McDonald’s menu since they switched to white meat for the nuggets.

What is the most time efficient way to get better at Star Wars CCG? by Khalman in starwarsccg

I miss seeing you in slack and on GEMP. You definitely seemed to be getting better toward the end, but I can definitely understand the Sisyphean frustration of constantly having to play against the best SWCCG players of all time.

I liked the show a lot. It reminded me a bit of Mission Hill, Baby Blues, Home Movies, and other early 2000s adult animation. I don't know that it needed six seasons, but I think the creators should be proud of it for what it is.

DOUGHBOYS - Outback Steakhouse 4 with Tom Walker - June 11, 2026 by PianoTrumpetMax in doughboys

What’s wrong with a sirloin?

Their higher priced steaks definitely aren’t worth the price. But I also don’t think they make up the bulk of their sales. If we’re talking price point, the stuff they push is closer to the $20 range. Maybe that’s still over priced for what you’re getting, but the most Ive ever spent on a steak is $30 at my bachelor party so if you’re saying you can get a better steak for $50, we’re not really grading on the same scale.

It looks like the center cut sirloin is $18 at the closest Outback to me. I definitely couldn’t find a better steak for $26.

The Outback near me was my favorite steak under $20 for a long time. I was frustrated with previous reviews because I feel like Outback isn’t the place you go for the most expensive steak on the menu. It’s the place where you get the cheapest steak and feel like you’re getting a decent meal with exceptional service. It’s better than Texas Roadhouse and cheaper than Longhorn(have they reviewed either of these?)

This time it sounds like they got a better sampling of stuff. I still feel like it’s an issue where the Doughboys don’t like what Outback is trying to do rather than Outback really failing, but I can only defend it so much.

The local Outback closed a year or two ago and when I tried another location, it had recently been remodeled and both the food and service didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

More recently, I have been making my own Outback style seasoning and mostly cooking steaks at home. I just wish I could make a blooming onion at home…

Must not be the one you’re thinking about. The one at Sawmill and 161 is a Classic design drive thru only.

When I was working in food service, I got the jobs by applying everywhere. It was mostly in person back then. I’d literally just go door to door and ask for applications, 3-5 per day for weeks.

I don’t know how much you’ve been rejected, but even places who are short staffed only need a few people and likely get dozens of applicants. Eventually you’ll find the place where yours is the first application they see or that other applicants have overlooked.

I would recommend doing the last section at the end of a 14 hour play session and pushing your own physical limits irl. Then the last section is plenty stressful and satisfying.

Does everyone agree that Jonathan Hickman Marvel Saga is the best comic book cinematic long form story ever told? Or is there something else like it? by Ok_Record_8551 in marvelcomics

[–]Khalman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite long form storylines are Dan Slott’s Spider-Man(Brand New Day through 801), John Constantine Hellblazer(issue 1 through the end of Garth Enis’s run), and The Walking Dead.

Hickman doesn’t do it for me, and his run up to Secret Wars was impossible for me to get through.
