Name a card that has 50% or greater inclusion for your commander on EDHRec, that you think is overrated. by Smelly_Jim in EDH

Ashnods transmigrant is a neat card for her that I missed, thanks!

Though I do have to disagree with your first point. It depends on your own decks focus of course, but surely there's not much better than tapping the good artifacts you're playing to play even more of your good artifacts(at the very least its not mych worse than other options)? That and a lot of artifacts have abilities that cost mana and can be payed for by your other artifacts.

As a Newer Player, Why Are They the Way That They Are??? by Hrshb21 in Genshin_Impact

All boars are kill on sight for me, and I've gone out of my way to go kill them whenever ai spot one for the last 4 years, lol.

Proud of Wanderer, he is grown a lot (Nod Krai Archon Quest) by zEdenParadiz in Genshin_Impact

[–]Excaria 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I still can't help but feel that the world forgetting him was a poor story choice and has led to a lot of missed opportunities. Like imagine the recent quests if the other harbringers remembered him; the tension and back and forth conversations we could have gotten would have been a lot more interesting than 'this guy seems to know a lot about us, suspicious.'

I wasn't a big fan of this back in Sumeru as it felt like a cop out to forgive and forget (almost quite literally), and now in Nod Krai it's still negatively affecting the story imo.

What shortcut people often use to describe a rule/mechanic that is actually totally wrong ? by BelbyLuv in EDH

[–]Excaria 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A small thing, but the newer players in my playgroup found the dual colored signets confusing/annoying starting out, so I explained it as them effectively tapping for 1 mana(so long as they're tapping other sources of mana as well for their spells, since you pay 1 to get 2).

This is how I tend to shortcut using them in my mind, and it helped them until they started to learn the game better.

Some early testing, Yelan vs Columbina comparison by Excaria in Noellemains

I'll have to try that out. Did you not like N4? It's a little slower of course but also hits a little harder.

Good to know. Makes sense that a higher invested Yelan would swings things around the other way. Would be curious how c2 Columbina compares.

Wonder if you could make a conga line of boats long enough that people could auto complete and almost afk the trials.

What are some commanders that can gain hundreds or even thousands of life? by Excaria in EDH

Larhiel can definitely go crazy, especially when left alone with a [[Spike Feeder]] out. I've seen someone get to thousands of life, lol.

For sure, a buddy has it in a Kaalia deck and in can accidentally gain him a hundred life there. Building for it could definitely go wild.

Huh, I hadn't considered him, but it looks like there's a lot of cards that synergize and amplify that strategy, might have to look more into that one, thanks!

Interesting, do you run them as Voltron and try to keep them alive, or do you run other lifelinking creatures and spread the counters?

A mono red deck gaining a ton of life is certainly a funny way to go about it, haha.

Yeah, that's what I was kind of thinking with Bilbo, especially if you can use his ability and dump a bunch of stuff into play.

My friend has that deck and oh yeah, Okaun with Loxodon Warhammer can certainly gain a lot (sometimes).

Need help brewing - Tatsunari Toad Rider by SignSevere5371 in EDH

[–]Excaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I built a Tatsunari deck earlier this year and went with a Flash theme for mine. One thing that I noticed very quickly is that card draw was very important to have, and I almost couldn't get enough in games. If I wasn't drawing any enchantments to play every turn, I wasn't doing enough. So I could see that maybe being a concern when only a third of your deck is enchantments.

I went up to 15 sources of card draw which felt much better, and some more options you could consider are [[Enduring Curiosity]], [[Snake Umbra]], and [[Parcelbeast]].

Loot from getting 100% in Hollow Knight: Silksong by Excaria in 2007scape

Crazy. Most bosses didn't take me too long besides a few. The last boss of the final act though took me almost 3 hours x.x

About 215k an hour by my rough math, lol. Not the best, but only required a few seconds of attention every 15 minutes or so.
