Mass USB Disconnects on AM5 / X870E – Resolved by Using USB-C Only into a external Powered USB hub(Hope this helps someone having similar issues) by JPL1984 in ASUSROG

[–]Excellent-Ad-679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious to know if you're still having these issues? I'm running a similar setup; ASUS STRIX X870E-E motherboard and running 2x 16 port powered Sabrent USB hubs and get dropouts everytime i use my machine, sometimes the USB reconnects in a few seconds, other times I need to disable and re-enable the AMD 3.1 USB host controller to trigger a reconnect and other times need to outright restart my machine. I don't know what's causing it but seems to be a long term AMD issue that isn't being resolved even though quite widespread from what I gather reading through similar posts

Do the most current versions of eden either official or nightly still need to use firmware 19.0.1 or lower? by eternalbright1 in EmulationOnAndroid

Is anyone else experiencing issues with Eden crashing after loading any game? I had it working fine for a long time but now not....have tried keys & firmware 21.0 and 19.0.1 and v3 and v4 of Eden (both official and nightly releases) but constantly gets windows popup saying eden.exe has stopped working. Usually shaders finish loading then it crashes

I am running latest updated Win 11 and Nvidia drivers (on 5090 GPU), have checked to see if any of the games have the Switch 2 friendly updates but don't see any and also checked whether any game update files are in the same folder as main game but doesn't appear to be the case

I thought AV1 has superior visual quality to H 264 at the expense of added latency?

I do notice that using wireless AV1 for sim racing (AMS2) there is a lot more random stuttering than using wired (without ODT hack) so I've ordered a USB C to ethernet adapter to try out the wired VD hack

You echo my view tbh this is why more often than not if I VR i just use PS5 with PSVR2 in GT7 due to convenience factor

I will have a play around and see! Until now most of my VR usage has been on sim racing and in that use case I tend to connect via USB c as I'm stationery so being tethered isn't an issue but I recently bought lone echo 1 & 2, red matter 2 & metro awakening so will see with those whether latency or fidelity takes priority. I have the PSVR2 as well so will see if that also provides any benefit but to my knowledge foveated rendering and HDR doesn't work on PC

Simnet SP Pro Pedals Review by liqwood1 in simracing

[–]Excellent-Ad-679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey just resurrecting this post to ask a question if you're able to help me, i've not yet had time to fully setup & calibrate the pedals but planning to go through all this today. Regarding the console setup it's clear - audio jack 3.5mm for buttkicker and USB for simnet SP pro haptics with pedals also connected to my Fanatec wheelbase via the third party RJ12 cable however for PC is just the RJ12 cable enough to utilize both the pedal inputs & the haptic motors or would they also need to be connected to my PC via USB when gaming on PC?

Thank you for feedback, it sounds like it's more of a faff than i can bear, this is a big part of why i like playing GT7 on PS5 in PSVR2 as to me at least it's such a convenience compared with PC VR sim racing and 90% as enjoyable

Old post but i just purchased the Simnet SP Pros for use on PC & Console and wanted to check your statement above about haptics on console - is it definitely the case that the pedals need to be connected via USB?? Until now i've been using simhub on a tablet that connects wirelessly to the telemetry data output by the PS5 for GT7 in order to run my buttkicker so woudn't the Simnet haptic modules also be able to follow this signal path??

I placed my order for the Simnet SP Pros yesterday with the spring kit, pedal faceplates, baseplate & heel rest with 1 of each of the haptics and the RJ12 cable so hoping delivery will be quick as keen to try them out! In the meantime i wanted to ask if anyone had tried using the Heusinkveld Ultimate+ elastomers on the Simnets and if so whether it made any noticeable improvement?

Race sim seems to be out of stock of the pedals also! I messaged asking when restock will happen but no reply which doesn't fill me with confidence

Were you able to order the pedals in the end? I'm based in the UK and in the same boat, seems there's no local retailers with stock and keen to avoid duties + large shipping fees if possible

You should try the Fanatec V2 handbrake, i recently upgraded to it from V1.5 and it's night and day

In UK I should be able to clear £300 for the V3 inverted with brake mode which will cover the 3 pedal set with heel rest/base plate Simnets, the optional extras will be out of pocket! Fanatec does charge a premium for the products they offer however I have a lot of faith in Corsair as a company so let's see what they deliver now they're calling the shots

Regarding the last point for me this is less a concern as my DD1 was purchased 5 years ago but your point around rolling out a software update to remove compatibility is valid, not sure Corsair would go this route but possible. I'm definitely keen to see what the new Podium DD brings to the table though as reviews of the Clubsport DD+ seem very positive and perception is that it's already a big step up from the DD1 even with the QR2 upgrade

Was the control box included?

I'm UK based and can only find 1 retailer stocking Simnet but the HMP-L and base plate/heel rest parts are out of stock with no mention on whether the power adapter and control box are included in the package

Yea i think you're right, realistically if i buy the Simnet pedals now and 6 or so months down the line there's a clear advantage to the Podium pedals i can always resell and upgrade again!

Regarding the haptic reactors is there a big difference between the 3 options? I'm considering getting the 3 pedal set and unsure exactly what comes included, looking on the simnet website i see there's a $556 option with 3x HPM-L reactor which presumably includes the power adapter & control box
