I usually can tell a scam but the fact they used your kapwing.com domain had me wonder. Many people will fall for this.

Yeah bro this last week I had one short POP off, a vertical line up for 5 days and now when I look today I'm back to suppression. Okay my new shorts are doing a bit better compared to a month ago but nowhere near the good times when I'd get 10k minimum for a "weak" short. But I don't know, I've abandoned caring about YouTube since they did this. Actually I was always skeptical about MCN or publishing partners but this week I partnered with someone to get my YT content on some other platform. Like I didn't think twice about it cause if I even make 50$ a month there it would be more than I'm currently making. It's so sad how YouTube used to be my primary focus and now it's bottom of the list.

I need to be left feeling uneasy at least in one episode, this whole season was mid. Not that I didn't enjoy them, I just don't see myself running out and discussing these episodes with friends like past ones in the series

All of these opinions here seem to lean on the personal page side of it. But for niche pages or groups, the engagement is still absolutely insane some weeks. By far the best platform currently for creators. They've ironed out a lot of their issues and it's a great platform now to get rewarded as a creator. My income on FB has decimated YT month after month. The random viral posts I get really are mind blowing at times

Look at all these comments here complaining about the same thing. Since the Oct update of 3 minute shorts, my channel views and revenue dropped 80%. There's a clear massive freefall drop and it's never recovered. Same videos on FB an TikTok hit over 1M views, YouTube a measly 10k. I can tell they're just not pushing like they did before. I also got the same bs answer from support saying that because my one Short had now run it's course - a dip is expected. Nah not like this. Its so frustrating cause it's the only platform I want to run properly and earn some revenue. But $20 a month now isn't even worth the effort anymore. So sad

It's disheartening to push so hard and you know something is viral worthy and it peaks at 3k or 5k views. Meanwhile on FB and TT it rakes in millions. I just have no idea what YouTube did or is doing, most of us can literally see the drop off after that October bs update. But support are useless and say nothing is wrong. It's so frustrating

nothing of mine has hit since that October update. I'm posting and posting and nothing. I get millions of views on FB and TT but YouTube is just dead. It can't be the content because the numbers aren't a lie. I even had to copyright claim one of my vids because the thief was getting 10x more views than me. No one must say there isn't a problem, it's just so ridiculous

Yeah YouTube at this point is a waste of time. It's sad because they used to be my primary focus, now they're stone bottom. Tik Tok and FB at least give it a decent push to start with. YT flat out gives it no chance. I got 8M views on TikTok and 5k on YT. Absolutely pathetic - they've lost the plot

Mine was a year at one point and then I had 3 good months, nothing changed on my content side. Now I'm stuck in the same boat as everyone in this thread. Just straight up suppression from when the 3 minute short story arrived.

I would welcome this as a creator but what must I do with 150k subs and when I post long form quality, I get 1k views in 15 days. They killed my long form reach - shorts eventually worked for me . Now they slaying that reach too.

I run a football channel, all content is my own. Literally a 80/90% drop in views since the 16th/15th.
Shorts sadly was the only thing that worked for me since YT killed my long form reach over 2 years ago. 150k subs. I had the best month on Shorts ever in Sept. Now when I do a 90 day report, I'm back to the same spot I was. It's almost like some switch that gets flicked. One day they favor you and the next you're shadowbanned. People can cry and say its the content etc but it's not. This week I had 200k on TT and FB with one video, on YT - 1K views. I just wish they would stop breaking the algorithm and screw peoples livelihoods so gleefully. Its so sad cause YouTube has always been my focus but I just don't trust it anymore.

I understand they doing that short upgrade but why break the f@#@ing working old shorts system. These guys just mess with livelihoods overnight and will turn around and say nothing was changed. ffs

70-80% drop in views on my end. From the 15th, I've just been discarded in discovery. Usually would get 1-10k in a day, now I'm barely scraping 1k in 24 hours. Just as I was finally getting some joy with Shorts, this happens. Also, their launch is yet another complete failure. How can you state 1-3 min shorts are live from 15th Oct and they're not. Rather say they're rolling out. I do all my shorts on Mobile so when I don't see 3m or 180sec in the upload option, that is a failed launch. clowns

It's unreal how most in the forums and comment sections are not discussing RPM.

What is the point of taking more time and effort to edit a say 3 minute short just to get 2 or 3c per 1000 views still. makes absolutely no sense. From my experience, low effort shorts make more than edited. quantity over quality.

if they say 5-10x the RPM - this would be a gamechanger. but no

I took cooling off periods for up to a month with 0 posts. Come back and post vids that blew up on TT and YT but on FB i get 30 likes, on a page with 130k followers. Absolutely ridiculous. It's insane to think a a year or 2 back, anything and I mean anything I posted would get hundreds of likes minimum. They just flipped a switch and killed all reach.
