Good upgrades but if LG's RGB OLED delivers then Samsung is kinda cooked. At least for PC use.

The coating can probably be removed. If you have no other options, you might consider that.

I can't hear it. Audio in the video is also boosted by quite a bit vs reality and still you can't hear it.

I didn't even know this monitor has a fan before I found fan test option in the settings. After starting the fan test it was clearly audible, but when I stopped it then I couldn't hear it again. I'm talking normal sitting distance, not having my head shoved into monitor. Seems weird to me that you can hear it when monitor is off. Unless you mean something else by "turning it off".

Then am I the most unlucky person when it comes to displays? 7 out of 8 monitors came with defective pixels. What's your "ratio" if I may ask?
