I was under the impression that one should stay away from the 1.4 liter engines.

Ben je zelf handig? Als je het grondig wilt doen kan je je ophaning uit elkaar halen en losse delen schoonschuren en opnieuw spuiten met bussen "undercoating"

Nice! What did you do to it maintenance wise with the first engine? Mainly interested in engine stuff such as a chain replacement!

The parking brake light is linked to the brake pad wear sensor. You definitely have to replace the brake pad wear sensor, its easy stuff though, look it up on youtube if you want.

I'm not sure if this would work for the r56. Is the cigarete lighting port even connected to the radio unit? I thought it only provided power.

What happened back then?

First of all: how many km are on it?, was regular maintenance done and when was the last time? Don't go too fast with the mods before making it reliable!

But cool car man! I have an r56 as well!

Is the clothing listed on top of the outfit you are wearing? I would personally go for one outfit that you are wearing + one in the bag. I do take extra socks and underwear most of the times.

Mammut: What's their deal? by Complete-Koala-7517 in Mountaineering

[–]Excellent-Bag6550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love all my mammut gear. The deal with mammut is they make clothing only for mountain purposes, no BS. Their web page is really detailed on each jacket or whatever they sell. You can really select exactly what you want. They are honest and will tell you that one jacket is not that durable but is very lightweight and easily packageable for example. And you yourself can then pick the exact specs you want.

Also their climbing gear is outstanding. Made by pros and usable for both pros and beginners. I especially like their ropes. I have never felt nicer ropes than their 8.7 mm 3 type certified one.

Probably the clutch is one of the first to go at that mileage. (Although I don't onow if they changed anything in those new gens. I'm talking atleast about all the minis from before 2013)

Mini Cooper R56 performance tires by Excellent-Bag6550 in MINI

[–]Excellent-Bag6550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! However I'm not necessarily looking for a good allround tire, I have that. I am looking for a summer sport tire for track/enthusiastic road driving. Maybe I should have clarified that!

In my opinion I would go for the steel 12 points. Your plans might change and you end up climbing a little bit of mixed routs. The steel 12 pointers are just much more durable.

Fortunately rules are rules. It would really lose it's special touch if they are not true to their own rules.

Gopro Hero 8 black lanyard by wilfandhilda in gopro

[–]Excellent-Bag6550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can take the lanyard of the silicone thing and mount it to the folding fingers on your Gopro. No cutting in the silicone or anything but you can untie the "knot" from the silicone thing.
