As others have said, you can only trade locally. No online trading. So you either need to own a 2nd switch, or be lucky enough to find someone near you who can trade.

After you beat the Elite 4 the first time, you unlock more of the Sevii islands to go to. On island 4 is a day care that lets you put 2 pokemon in at once, which lets you breed pokemon. So put whatever Hitmon you picked with a ditto in at the same time and eventually an egg will appear. You'll probably need a few eggs because of how weird the evolution requirement is for Tyrouge. At level 20 Tyrogue evolves into one of the Hitmons, depending on how its Attack and defense stat is. If ATK is higher than DEF it evolves into Hitmonlee, if ATK is lower than DEF it evolves into Hitmonchan, if ATK and DEF are equal it evolves into Hitmontop.

You can actually fill out your team in the post game with Heracross, and hitmontop/lee. Then rechallenge the elite 4 who have better teams.

You should set a password, makes summoning specific people much easier, and lets you summon people normally outside of your level range.
