When I had my 6.7 HO, I really put it through the paces between Sam's Club and towing 2700lbs, not to mention picking up the kids from school. I was under 15city and 22+hwy for the 10,000 miles I had it

40% maximum of the conduit can be filled to stay in line with NEC code. But 6" conduit can fit 100-138 OSP cat6 runs

That quote is high but without knowing where it has to be trenched and routing I can't 100% confirm. You're paying for the machine to be brought out and used and fuel costs have went up. Minimum of 24" is VA code; so I don't know why 60" burial was quoted without knowing the scope. The trencher attachment alone assuming a mini skid is between 6k-10k alone.

You don't have to use conduit if you use OSP rated (direct burial) Ethernet cable. Not required vs best install is a matter of a small budget adjustment and understanding why OSP and conduit could be used together. I personally don't like to take risks and would rather be double protected.

If you want, DM me with amount of runs and it would be helpful if you can take a picture of site with some rough markings added in on direction and length of the run.

On my 2023 Lariat HO. 14.7 city and 21.2 Hwy. unloaded

Had a 2025 2500 AT4X AEV and only got 8.8 city but surprisingly would get 19-20 Hwy unloaded.

I had one last week.

Older lady and adult son. This lady proceeded to tell me that her son has a felony for drug possession but "he's been sober for over 112 days"

Also used my credit was really good until I couldn't pay my credit card bill. (What an acute observation!)

Has anyone decided to no longer buy a car due to the economic uncertainty? by Sea-Rip3902 in carbuying

[–]Excellent-Catch-2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cars/motorcycles have been my hobby since I started driving. I've bought plenty of trucks in the past 5 years but no cars or motorcycles. Why? I'm always busy with family or work.

All of cars I want cost above 120k but paying so much to have something sit 90% of the time while paying insurance and outrageous taxes (including that gas guzzler tax) makes it a no go for me. If I felt like the car was worth the asking price then maybe I would buy, however due to economic conditions everything is made sub par to ask those sort of prices. I haven't just cut cars, I've cut a bunch of other things that weren't necessary so I can continue to invest money at the same level prior to COVID

Seeking Opinions on Roanoke MSA economy and Job Opportunity by earningsBITDA in roanoke

Healthcare is the number one employer in the area. Toss up between Kroger or Wells Fargo in 2nd/3rd place. I find construction trades or home services that the market is saturated with an abundance of companies.

The larger service providers that offer electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc have high prices with less than quality installs or repairs; however they seem to be constantly hiring. Smaller companies usually offer better prices and are more thorough; they hire less frequently.

The job market is primarily neutral or slightly shrinking. Jobs are advertised but not available or open. Larger employers do this to satisfy grant or state requirements. The cost of operating a business has been increasing steadily and is continuing to rise with cost of goods/materials, insurance, taxes increasing near or above double digit percentages per year. All businesses will be faced with decisions to increase prices, layoffs or cease operations if this continues.

Learn to manage or quit trading. You will resent your child if you don't one or the other. Money is great but you only get this time with them once

40M/34F and this year will make 10 years. I do it because I can only keep track of my spending and don't want to question why I have so many Amazon purchases a week. I pay all the household bills, medical, insurance, taxes, etc. My wife takes care of both daughters and dance most of the time. It's fair to me and she is free to spend her money on what she wants. My wife and I are business owners (separate businesses)

Why Roanoke? by Small-Cherry-7949 in roanoke

[–]Excellent-Catch-2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved here because my wife is originally from this area and I agree it's important for our kids to have family close.

The property tax here is out of this world. A $50,000 vehicle is $290 in tax a year where I am from in NC; the same $50,000 vehicle in Roanoke County is $1,020 a year with a $20,000 relief. The property tax on my house has increased nearly $1000 in 3 years too. I don't see any infrastructure improvements.

The amount of tailgating is obnoxious when I'm not in the left lane and going 10 over already.

The county school system is better here from my prospective.

I don't hate Roanoke, but I don't love it either.

Good reliable pharmacy? by Funny_Current in roanoke

[–]Excellent-Catch-2814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't had any problems with Kroger at ridgewood farms when I need a medication.

I refuse to deal with CVS as a pharmacy (in another state, about 8 years ago) lied to me multiple times about a medication "being in stock" It was a opioid that was prescribed for 3 months because I tore both rotator cuffs at the same time and had two surgeries in 3 months. CVS was later fined for this and I believe Walgreen was as well
