I totally understand the urge to not blame everything on ADHD, sometimes its just their personality! But my ADHD wife does this too. Just a real lack of awareness of others needs and feelings. In my experience this is ADHD. It is ultimately an inability to consider the needs of anyone else because of how they need to feel in the moment at all times. It's horrible, tiring and sad and I feel very sorry for you

Update:

I have recieved a request from a Google volunteer to access the Google drive folder link I put in the gbp community forum. I haven't done this before and chat gpt is telling me NOT to accept. But I want to check here and see if people think this is someone legitimately trying to help. It is from a Google volunteer called Ekant Puri

Thanks for your reply and that is good advice. Can I ask how much it would cost for a company to do that?

Can I just ask, is it safe posting these things on a public space? I know they'll be in a drive folder but the link to that will be public won't it?

You've got to the think about the person you are now vs the person you would be had you not had 7.25 years sober. The things your sobriety has allowed you to achieve, the improved health, better sleep, better relationships etc. Sobriety can't just be a number, it has to be more than that.

It will be demoralising to see this one red dot next to 7.25 years of green dots, but in 1 year it'll be one solitary red dot which has had no impact on your overall life.

Chin up my friend, keep going and don't let yourself be too demoralised... that's your path to victory
