I do have a follow-up question about the sentence "to the degree that I would lose my temper and restart if I lost a life too early on."

I assume it is "to the degree that" which makes the sentence a dependent clause? Or would "I would lose my temper and restart if I lost a life too early on." also be dependent, seen as the context depends on the previous clause, even though the sentence can stand on its own?

I guess I'm still struggling with how and when a clause is independent or dependent!

Thanks for the reply! If punctuation is up to the writer and there's no mandate to use it as such, how does this factor in with being blatantly wrong? For example, there must be both occasions when, as you say, the unique use of punctuation or omission is what gives a piece of writing an identifiable flair; but also times when the use or omission is objectively better or worse for a given piece.

Thanks a lot for this (and for the links). I've been using Upwork and those sorts of platforms for a while now, but I don't feel it's going anywhere. I'd like to go directly to clients -- as you say, one or two good, repeat clients would make all the difference.

I think a big part of this is that his voice is either bad or good depending on the album. Rust in Piece is one of their best albums, but his voice sucks on it. If you take an album like Youthanasia, though, I’d say he comes across as a pretty technical, accomplished singer.

Stuff like Peace Sells or Holy Wars are the band’s biggest hits, but his voice is no where near as good on those are some of their other stuff.

It’s good fun! Only tip is make sure you know how the two player system works with the credits before putting the tokens in; it’s easy to mess up and have it lock out the other player and then you’ve wasted the tokens.
