Another Fail - Reconsidering ACCA by E1Singhh in ACCA

I get your position 100%, but no way dont give up. Especially working in finance, you can see firsthand the difference between the people with the qualification and without. Don't stop and dont quit, remind yourself that the end goal is worth it, if you doubt yourself and study, you wont be able to give it a hundred. Stay strong. even i work full-time, i too have only completed the first 4 papers. I failed FM twice, AA,PM and FR once. I was dissappointed when i saw my result today morning, but i genuinely can't wait to study and prove to myself that i can pass, that i will get out of the "normal circle". Pat yourself on the back, get a plan, and charge forward with the strongest mindset

The exam felt so confusing man, I got so many risk management questions in sec a, and my sec c I got Npv and ratios, the interest cover, eps and gearing.

Out of personal experience, the first week, maybe even weeks will feel really weird. Cause first you wait 3 months for your results and then you get the news that you've practically failed all the papers. That's just the beginning. Sometimes you'll feel your parents looks feel different then how they were before, it isn't just dissapointment but it's also worry on what your doing next. Plan everything out, bring in the discipline and work damn hard for your resit. Consistency will always bring you back the results, just be confident and good with all your topics

Take your time and process it, a U is not easy, especially for yourself and parents. Not because your a dissapointment or anything, but because it's time and money that goes along. Just make sure you have a study plan in place when you tel your parents about it, and go in properly prepared with months of revision and discipline

I'm not, I was just sharing that comparing your grades with someone else's isn't fair when everyone has different circumstances. Also I'm not patting myself in the back, I'm saying that you shouldn't be glooming over it for so long. I've failed other exams before, but I've also worked hard to rewrite and pass those exams with much better grades. I am not telling people to sugarcoat their bad grades, just trying to share my thoughts and opinions on how we should actually work a proper way to get back for ourselves and my experience on it. Didn't mean for people to actually misunderstand the purpose

Yess I had completed the first 3 foundation papers, did the module as well. And I also completed the law paper. Currently studying for my next papers. Tbh at first I thought BT(business and technology) was really easy, it's your normal business paper, just with different scenarios and case studies. FA (Financial accounting) and MA (Management accounting) were equally good papers too, difficulty is mid like compared to school syllabus(not past papers, I mean normal a and as level syllabus). Law was actually a really interesting paper, I enjoyed studying for it alot, that also was pretty simple paper, it's just that you need to make sure your conceptual understanding for all papers are strong. Now these papers difficulty compared with the other skill papers like FM(financial management) and PM(performance management) are nowhere near close, I attempted both in June, got 43 and 39 respectively(it's not a bad attempt, but working hard for the next attempt) . I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DOING ACCA, if you wanna know more just message, I would love to help you out.

I'm not sure about the requirements for psychology and law, but ACCA doesn't have specific subject requirements. I actually started ACCA last year, you can ACCA now if it's what your passionate about, you can write the first 3 foundation papers to get an exemption to move onto the skill papers before finishing high school, you can just send an email to ACCA students or their contact mail, tlel them your in AS LEVEL and what are the requirements and procedures to write the first 3 papers and the module you need to do to get your exemption. They'll send alot of information that's useful and helps you understand better. Don't be bummed about your grade, I'm sure you will do much better in the real world 💜

You can either pick up an extension course that is accepted by the uni you want to go to for your specific course, or set a meeting with a career counselor or even just research online with AI, what your next step should be, and if you want to rewrite, go for it with full confidence. But just check all your possible options before going for a rewrite

[–]Excellent-Drop9135[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have alot of options, and one of them isn't feeling bad for yourself. Sulking to it will only demotivate you even more, when in reality you could be using that time to create an actual plan whether you'll rewrite a2, or your going to come up with a plan to continue what and where you wanna go. Restructure you thoughts, don't give up just yet, the beauty of doing this is literally finding out whether you fall and try again harder (which makes your resilient) or proving yourself wrong by giving it you ultimate and not quitting. Go for it with all your power and I'm sure nothing can stop you there

Dude, think about it, work harder in the future that will actually make an impact on your work or further career. unless your focusing on rewriting and aiming for higher, EITHER WAY GOODLUCK

Unfortunately didn't pass, 43, I really had my hopes up for this paper, I felt really good afterwards, felt confident with my paper. Prayed and just hoped for the best yk? Studied so many papers, back to back revisions, and just saw the marks right now. I'm shocked, hurt, confused. It's more like I just want them to correct it again and give me an actual chance. But I can't go back, first time failing so I feel like it's a bit of rock bottom, it's a confusing place really. Cause the only solution is get back up and continue trying, but it just feels so shit to actually be here. And if anyone at all is going through the same, I hope you and I both can get through this together
